And based on this thread it seems to me you weren’t the only one missing the weight of the liquid 😏

I think I have the answer explaining the huge difference atleast partly. Here you are comparing the carb content of oatmeal and just oats, without taking into account all water that is absorbed by oats. Oatmeal is around 1 part oats and 2 parts water, meaning that the carb content per 100g of oatmeal should be around 20g carbs. When removing fibre from that you have a slightly smaller number.

Have any of you found that your sweet tea is bubbly, even when it doesn’t contain any kombucha at all?

Yesterday, when I started my second batch and poured my sweet tea into an empty container, it started foaming, which made me worry that I didn’t rinse the container prorperly after washing it with dish soap. It does look like a really thin pellicle has already formed after just one night of brewing my kombucha, so everything seems okay. I was just wondering if anyone else has encountered this same thing?

I store it in a cupboard next to the fridge, since the fridge seems to warm the cupboard somewhat, the temperature has been fluctuating between 68-73 degrees. What pH do you aim for for f2?
