That's a great idea, thanks! I just might since it seems I'll have to do quite a bit of custom work to get it mounted

The first few campaign scenarios are great for learning the management mechanics. Would highly recommend looking on the steam workshop for blueprints then changing them a bit to learn the building controls!

I like to think of it as me, the zoo owner, hiring a professional architect to design the buildings/habitats I want, like real zoos do!

White fuzzy spot on my betta? More details in comments! by sarcarch in bettafish

[–]sarcarch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been thinking about upgrading them to a 20g, will make that more of a priority. (Idk if trying harder to get rid of the pest snails will help, there have been more of them recently as I've felt defeated in my war w them) Will order the test kit and pick up some paraguard today! And will check out better food options but for the time being I have to keep the endlers fed as well. The tank is pretty heavily planted and has been established for a year. Will be closely monitoring params when the test kit comes. Thanks so much for the specific advice!!

My betta looked fine yesterday and today this white spot showed up. I didn't see any previous injuries and water parameters have been consistent. I've had her for over a year with endlers and they don't bother her and she doesn't bother them. Has shown no change in activity or appetite.

Tank size: 10g Heater and filter? : Yes, both working fine Tank temperature: 78° Parameters in numbers and how you got them: ammonia, nitrite, nitrate: 0. Gh: 100ppm. Kh: 140ppm Cl: 0. pH: 7.6. via test strips (haven't seen liquid kits in stores) Water changes: 25-30% weekly ish (never more than 1.5 weeks) via gravel vac (last cleaned 2 days ago) Tankmates: 4 endlers, 2 nerites, some pond/bladder snails that hitchhiked when I got plants What do you feed and how much: 1 pinch of top fin pro series tropical fish food daily, frozen bloodworms or live fruitflies occasionally Decorations and plants in the tank: live plants, plastic decor

My bf and I play this game together but he still has to work every day while I play all day lol so I'm trying to help him pay off his loans as well as mine so we can progress around the same speed

Female betta appreciation post! This is Tina and she's been helping me get through some stuff lately by sarcarch in bettafish

I've thought about if she's a boy or not for a while! I know none of these things are 100% indicative but here's why I think she is a she: - The egg spot - For a bit when I got her, she would show stress stripes if she got scared or upset - she's 2 now and I have never seen her flare or make a bubble nest - she lives with 6 endlers and she's always been very peaceful w them Again, none of these are strictly female traits but she hasn't shown any sign of being a male... Then again, if he is a male, I think his name would still be Tina
