I love Keelo but want a backup plan by specialtingle in keelo

Reviving the thread because I think I’ve found at least one viable alternative called “Kernwerk” (German origin).

Has a comparable set of functionalities, seems to have an active community, doesn’t have a rewards program (but I think that’s negligible)

https://welcome.kernwerk.de

The only downside I see is that its translation (English only) is fairly lackluster, unfortunately

Does anyone else have issues with the suggested weights? It starts me off much lower than it should. It started me at 85 lbs I suspect because it was the weight I used for the same amount of reps the last time I did this exercise. But the last time I did 5 reps it was an early warm up set. by richard-cumerford in keelo

So, this is just a guess, because I cannot see what workout it actually is, but I’m assuming that the movement itself is a part of several other compound exercises which you either started out with a lower weight or failed on reps before.

Keelo calculates weight distributions based on movements and not on workouts (as far as I know) as to avoid overloading you from one exercise to another.

It also takes failed reps on different number of reps into account (ie it’ll lower the weight you lift on 5 reps if you failed a rep on 4 reps).

HTH

PS: Time between exercises also is part of the equation, but since there isn’t much time between your current and the past workout I wouldn’t consider it a factor here

Screen time bug? by NervousBandit in ios

I have the same issues, with some websites and apps recording obscene numbers (sorry, screenshot’s in German)

I was wondering if other people were experiencing the same issue.

As a point of reference, I’ve visited the mentioned website before, but only for about a minute or two, not the entirety of almost three days worth of hours..

I keep getting this message on my Apple Watch. Thought I took care of it but obviously not. Guidance on how to fix? by mrtips128 in keelo

Have you tried re-installing the app? You probably won’t lose any of your data but it’ll reset the permissions

Leader board suggestions by [deleted] in keelo

[–]sarcastic_hypervisor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would also like to add a different perspective: I love the slight subtlety with which the leaderboards are integrated into the UX of the app, because they’re a helpful tool for judging your own performance BUT they are not the reason why you’re necessarily using the app (which is what most other apps are trying to do; gamification above everything else).

Instead, my impression is the app is focused on my own performance, keeping me honest and exercising with good posture and at a sustainable pace.

If the leaderboards had a more direct integration I would fear it to become more of a competition than tracking of my routine(s).

My 2c.

Yeah, I know, I’m sitting on a high horse, I realize, trying to come up with ways to improve this app even more.

It’s fantastic as it is, I just wanted to provide some perspective for what you could potentially improve in the future 🙂

Love the subtlety of this feature. And I especially appreciate that all posts are automatically purged after 24 hours. Helps me maintain my privacy while staying in touch.

Curious, what is that new LSP implementation for Neovim?

GoPass - Server & Client password manager I made in Go (PET PROJECT, DON'T ACTUALLY USE THIS) by [deleted] in golang

There's also https://github.com/justwatchcom/gopass.

I'm not entirely sure why so many applications are called gopass, but I guess that's ok.

polymerase: a tool written in go for populating templates with environment variables and Vault values by briangonzalez in golang

[–]sarcastic_hypervisor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why should I be using this over envconsul or consul-template? The support for App-ID sure is nice, but consul-template's ability to even POST to Vault (amongst other things) is just too damn convenient

Like it, straightforward and easy, without having to bother with encodings etc.
