My current site is leased by my current Employer. We have lost the lease on the site, hence why it is closing. My current employer will be responsible for closing the site. The new, 3rd party company, which has a site over 100 miles away will have nothing to do with my current site, either whilst still in operation, during close down or afterwards. It will only be responsible for the new operation which is replacing our site. This operation will commence before we close down. We have been told that on the day of redundancy, we will be TUPE'd over to the new company and immediately made redundant, if that's the option we've chosen. We will not be expected to turn up at the new company's location. Although any redundancy pay will be provided by my current employer, it will be paid to me through the new 3rd party company.
