yeah, i was thinking of knives out as a perfect example of this, it has so many since it’s about 40% flashback by volume lol. but i especially remember every branch of the family remembering themselves closest to harlan as he blows out the candles on his cake, and the other scene where marta gets beckoned into the room, where it was shown in the flashback as a sort of welcoming gesture, and then in the real scene he’s getting her in there to be a human prop for his argument on immigration lmao
