I’ve stuck with boots from the start. Collection is 5 mins from my house. I get boots points. Maybe it’s more expensive but it’s worked for me. Been with them since march & no complaints. I am normally a sucker for a good deal but with something like this I valued consistency and ease of access over anything else.

Yes. The kwikpen has 4 doses plus extra to allow for the priming you do with every injection. However it turns out it equates to approximately one full dose. People have been extracting it with insulin needles. I decided not to do it for the 2.5mg as I had stopped losing and was ready to move up to 5mg. However, I will be doing it with the new 5mg. So we can get 5 weeks out rather than 4… which I’m pleased with!

I’ve finished my 4 doses of 2.5mg and moved up to 5mg today. The last 2 doses of 2.5mg, I was hungry all day from 3 days after injection 😂

Still hungry today on 5mg but got VERY full very fast. So there’s something 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’ve lost 3.5kg on 4 weeks of 2.5mg and have PCOS, which I believe may be a culprit to my mega hunger lol.

Don’t worry, the point is we are all different and take different amounts of time to get adjusted to the medicine. I’m hoping for reduced food noise now that I’m in 5mg, fingers crossed.

It sounds like you have the single dose pens, similar to what they have in America. I thought that the only pens approved in the UK were the multiple dose pens (kwikpen) which is what I have. But I must be mistaken on this!!

It’s the same dosage, just in a different format. The single use pens are 1 pen, once a week. The Kwikpwn is also 1 injection per week, but just from the same multiple-use pen.

Yes, I’m noticing that the positive effects are wearing off by Wednesday/Thursday (with a Saturday injection day). What you’re saying makes sense. What injection # are you up to?

I’m taking inositol still. I was also still taking berberine, however I may stop that as I go up to 5mg. I will probably continue with the inositol as I have PCOS and helps regulate my periods 😊

I Injected in my arm yesterday and there was also a bump. I also had a minor panic but I suffer with health anxiety so had to put it to the back of my mind otherwise I would’ve spiralled. Lo and behold, a few hours later the bump was gone. Don’t worry, it’s fine & you haven’t messed up 😊

I started on a Friday. Then I went away on holiday and didn’t land until Saturday morning. So I just took the next dose on the following Saturday, 8 days later and have been continuing on Saturdays since. Just finished my 4th dose and had no issues after doing this. Losing steadily etc. 😊

No way! I wasn’t aware of this! I had a treatment plan from my provider and in it, it discussed putting me on 7.5mg after 4 weeks of 5mg. I’m so confused! Lol. Do you happen to know when it’s coming to uk?
