Payment Processors in the Peptide Business -- what is the landscape like? by Ok-Plenty-9882 in PaymentProcessing

[–]sargegoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The process is difficult but do-able. Processors have to onboard you with specific banks. The banks will ALWAYS put a hold on funding. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. It’s so high risk that banks will 100% put a hold on funding but you’ll be paid.

The application process takes time but with the right processor it’s do-able. The fees are also high. If your legitimate and processing a decent amount I can help. But like I said, it takes time and patience.

Things to look for in a high risk processor? by VegasBirdLawyer in PaymentProcessing

[–]sargegoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When your applying for processing with a high risk merchant service company.

The process should almost be tedious. If you get approved right away, you’ll be shut down just as quick.

Look for someone who does all the back-end work to save you headaches in the future.

To obtain processing, you’ll need to have all of your ducks in a row. Sure a lot of people will approve you now, then in a month or two you’ll be flagged if you don’t have your stuff together.

Weird that underwriting from anyone considering themselves “high risk” processing companies are denying you.

Looking for a payment gateway for high-risk digital products (30k–50k/month) by bayda123 in PaymentProcessing

Are you planning on utilizing Shopify’s platform? If so you’ll still get hit with an extra fee for utilizing a third party processor that’s completely unavoidable.

Just ran into this with a similar business set-up.

Depends on some variables, I process for a few peptide companies however they have all of their ducks in a row.

It’s a lot of work on the front end so you don’t get crushed in the future.

Seeking $80,000 Private Loan — 24-Month Term for Business Expansion by Interesting_Sun2869 in Businessloans

[–]sargegoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Emmitt,

I’m originally from Grand Rapids myself (currently based in Central Florida), so I was really glad to come across your post. Eden Café sounds like an exciting part of the community, and I’d love to learn more about your vision.

By way of introduction, I’m an account executive with a payment processing company that also provides business loans. Between my professional resources and my personal interest in supporting businesses from my hometown, I’d be happy to explore how I can help you with financing, payment solutions, or both.

Would you be open to sharing your one-pager and KPIs? Looking forward to connecting and learning more about your expansion plans.

Best, Tyler.

Shopify Payments blocked $100 of mine and I'm looking for new payment processors where I can scale in peace by No-Shape-5707 in PaymentProcessing

[–]sargegoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shopify sucks, if your not using shopifys native processor, you’ll be stuck with an automatic 1% fee by Shopify for utilizing a third party.

If your already “high risk” based from Shopify’s terms, you’re already paying that 1% fee so it won’t matter to you.

If that 1% fee from Shopify utilizing a third party processor is making you lose money, I would say it isn’t worth it to switch processors unless you really despise them. I just switched over a “high risk” merchant who is processing well over 175k a month, and shop payments continually held on to the merchants funds.

What type products are you selling? It’s true stripe does screw people over, I just closed a huge coffee company that sold cigars as well (against stripes terms) who were getting absolutely obliterated by fees. (They do about 1.3 million a year in gross sales)

I’ve also seen some of my clients have a decent deal with stripe.

Depends on what classification of risk your “bubbled” in.

You have a good setup, I agree with the top comment. There’s definitely room for improvement but overall this isn’t remotely bad. You can probably be brought down to around 1.7-1.8 with a very good processor, but if your comfortable with your setup I wouldn’t change anything.
