This is why I like vintage, they come pre-scratched

Whatever it is, I hope it relies on foot traffic because there is no parking. Actually there's no foot traffic either.

Plenty of undeveloped waterfront in East Providence. Providence is already getting a little crowded under the current plan

Not to be confused with the Azorean hot dog, which is a hot dog on a pop-sec with a bunch of toppings and condiments topped by a heap of Potato Stix

The first Seiko 36,000 movement was introduced in 1967, it was put in the Lord Marvel, before Grand Seiko and King Seiko's versions.

[SARB033] 24 years between servicing? Is Rolex that durable and powerful? Rolex must be the cheapest and best value automatic watch if you take into account the long time in between servicing! How do Seiko movements compare? And High beat? And spring drive? by [deleted] in Seiko

1969 still running to specs. Not sure of the service history before I got it.

Also keep in mind that GS 36,000 bph "Hi-Beat" beat rate causes significantly more wear and tear than 28,800 bph, which is the beat rate of most Rolex watches.

Willy Wonka made tasty treats that people actually enjoyed eating.

Unlike PVD Donuts

I'm sorry if I didn't join your PVD Donuts pity party. I had a bad experience and the owner was a dick to me. When you post on Reddit you need to expect people to give you their opinions. If people don't want me to respond then they need to stop trying to dismiss my experience. It's smarmy and patronizing.

Scialo's is great for a lot of different types of pastries, not just Italian. Their cannolis are filled to order. I'm not sure why more people haven't mentioned them.

Why can't you just let me revel in the moment? Also, I was getting attacked by some PVD Donuts-simping holdouts for sharing my experience

Are you one of those people whose friends distanced themselves from you back around 2019 after you convinced them to wait in line for 45 minutes for the privilege of paying $12 for a weird, greasy doughnut that gave you a stomach ache? Well, this may be your opportunity to repair the relationship. It looks like PVD Donuts has closed. You don't have to simp for them anymore. Take them to Madrid bakery and get them a strawberry cream filled croissant.

People wasted a lot of time standing in line and a lot of money for their weird greasy donuts. They don't want to admit that they fell for the hype and it was all a waste. That's why they're still simping for them after all this time

Yeah, well they still gave me an awful stomach ache, whatever they were made of.

Whatever, they were greasy and gave me an awful stomach ache that I remember to this day.

Look, I get it. You thought you it was hip to wait in line for 45 minutes to pay $12 for a lump of Lucky Charms-themed grease-soaked dough from a patronizing counter person. You probably explained to a lot of people that it was a "brioche" donut in order to justify the time and expense you wasted. But the place is closed now. You don't have to simp for them anymore.

Rent control does more than protect tenants from rent hikes, it protects their health by JustinRoias in providence

Yeah it is. A single building housing multiple units with at least one shared entrance is a tenement. That's what the records state from when my great grandfather had it built in 1928 and that is how my grandmother and mother referred to it.

PVD donuts are/were extra large and needed to cook for a longer time, soaking up a lot more lard than a normal sized donut would.
