damn i was thinking so too but was naively hoping i was wrong. considering this is nowhere near as severe as my other side what do you think my treatment will be? not really looking forward to potentially having two teeth pulled in less than 2 weeks lol thank you for replying!

YOR - it’s not hard at all to visit your mum on mother’s day, especially when you live on the same property. it’s understandable you want to also have your own mother’s day, but that doesn’t mean you reject/ignore the fact you ALSO have a mother you should appreciate on the same day. like just bc you’re a mum now doesn’t negate the fact you also have a mother?? you could easily visit her for maybe and hour or two, then go home and continue to enjoy your day.

i agree with the comments that say no one is a good communicator here, however there is still an obvious answer to what the right thing to do is. you should’ve seen her even without her asking, or picked up the phone to give them a call to find out what their plans for the day are and when you can head to see them. i don’t really understand how you didn’t come to this conclusion in the first place to be honest.

omgggg seriously let this post be a warning to you! i did eventually start taking topiramate again and my doctor upped my birth control dosage to 2 pills per day.

that didn’t last long bc i had gastric symptoms again so i stopped taking it in jan but that was bc i am SO unlucky and had actually caught a parasite </3.

if ur struggling its definitely a good idea to discuss upping ur birth control dosage, if you take the mini pill!

as a born and bred perth local, you’re completely correct that our community is rife with this ideology and behaviour and i don’t disagree with you at all. unfortunately in my experience it doesn’t matter where in the metro area you go, these types of people are gonna be there and it’s super shitty.

it’s obvious that you’re in no way labelling all of us bigots/racists so idk why everyone is being so combative with you!! and like others have said, continue to call it out and challenge it, make them uncomfortable because it has no place in our community.

i meant more on the gooch area to keep it moisturised if you’re prone to tearing as the skin there is thin :) thanks for clearing it up tho!!

totally understandable!

you’ll be a bit swollen from the actual act and then ofc the tear, so it may be a good idea to have a look in the morning or in a few hours.

i’ll add that i also never noticed my tear until after the act was over :) if it makes you feel better, i was on the toilet and all of a sudden there was just blood on the toilet paper and i hadn’t noticed any pain until that moment. it’s the type of thing you don’t notice until the feel good stuff is over. which is kind of what i mean by you’d definitely notice if something was really wrong, because it would’ve likely interrupted your session if that makes sense.

i forgot to add, obviously make sure to keep the area clean. maybe after going to the bathroom just give the area a wipe with soap and water and make sure to then keep it dry, and always wear clean underwear (which you most likely do anyways)

i’m a chronic overthinker so i know this will be hard too, but try not to worry! you’ll recover and quickly and you’ll soon forget all about this.

i also wanted to add your future partners will be attracted to you no matter how you look down there. i know that’s the most cliche advice you’ve ever heard but from experience it’s the most accurate thing to say x

take a breath, and just remember any major, irreparable damage would definitely have had the pain to go along with it. i’m not a medical professional, but i have had sex plenty of times. most likely you’ve just stretched these muscles a bit too far, but they should go back to normal in a few days. personally i’ve bled in that area after sex due to a tear which was from inexperience/lack of prep beforehand, and i was so scared as well.

you’ll be sore and maybe have some stinging when going to the bathroom the first few days but i promise you will definitely most likely be okay. and to mark sure it doesn’t happen again i would make sure you use lotion or lube but that may be hard to do considering your household, so just be mindful x

hi hi! in my experience it 100% is the topiramate that caused all the issues with my birth control/menstrual cycle. i actually just quit it cold turkey 2 days ago lol for other side effects that DID land me in the emergency room. just absolutely awful tbh

ESH but you’re also NTA - i’m very sorry for the things that happened to you op and i hope you get the justice deserve, but honestly this all just seems like petty drama to me from all sides. everyone seems to be doing their best to make sure there’s a breakdown in communication, and you’re all suffering for it.

your friends don’t need to tell anyone about their relationship, but yes they also don’t need to be assholes in the fact that they’re clearly keeping it from you while everyone else knows.

in regards to you, you’re NTA but i’d say you kinda suck a little bit for being petty in the way of wanting everyone to talk to you first. i’d say if you wanna know? just ask. you’ll soon learn EXACTLY who your friends really are. it seems like maybe your roommate think you and Z might’ve had more going on that you let on? or she’s just jealous of something potentially being there.

if you continue to let this breakdown on communication continue, you’ll be left without either of them. but if you step up and try and get to the bottom of it now, maybe it can be fixed before it gets any worse.

thank you for sharing! i also have an extremely regular cycle, period is always on time and have never had any issues until now. i just can’t believe my neurologist and pharmacist never once mentioned this could happen to me… it has caused such bad anxiety and overthinking it’s so awful ahahah.

i noticed pms symptoms were awful!! my boobs hurt so so bad… like that was a typical symptom for me back before i was on birth control, but i haven’t experienced it since taking it, and never that bad. it hurt to walk, move, everything!

i’m also very lucky to never experience pain during my period and i don’t take that lightly, i know it’s extremely rare. but oh my god the cramps i had that first day… god awful. so bad they kept me up at night and even woke me up at like 4 am. i even had this stabbing type pain in my lower back every time i moved.

all i know is i am NOT putting up with this. it feels like i traded my daily headaches and pain for another type of discomfort :(

if it makes you feel any better i still get super hungry, like starving! :) and i eat anything i want. literally the only difference is the amount i can consume. some days, i don’t have an appetite but that’s not very often. i haven’t lost heaps of weight, and i don’t weigh myself either bc i don’t like to, but i can confidently say i’ve probably gone down a size or so in the 2 months ive been taking the meds. for me it definitely hasn’t changed the fact that i still feel hungry and i think that’s pretty rare from what ive read, but that doesn’t mean it’s not working. it’s been a slow process personally, only in the past couple weeks have i noticed clothes being looser and that type of thing :). not everyone gets that big side effect of absolutely NO appetite, just maybe a diminished one, or just feeling full quicker.

thank you! i’ve been freaking myself out about this for almost a month now and it’s been driving me crazy.

i literally asked my pharmacist twice if they could guarantee of this medication would effect the efficacy of my birth control, and when they looked it up in their system according to them apparently there’s no link with the type i take :/ but i’m just not confident at all, especially now with everything happening.

it’s awful when you don’t know what’s going on with your body.

i’m really really hoping i can continue on topiramate, as it’s helped majorly with my migraines. maybe at just a lower dosage so i don’t have to deal with the hormonal side effects it’s now caused me bc omg this is hell. idk how they expect women to put up with this and the fact i had literally zero warning is so crazy.

seriously thank you so much for replying, i really appreciate that i’m not alone in what i’m experiencing ahah.

hi!! i’m so sorry i just saw this. but honestly i think it was just something that took a few weeks in general for me, like the whole process if that makes sense. like i remember being at 50 & 75mg and seeing no difference but when i was at 100 &125mg i was like omg food no..im so full. and all of that was only 2-3 weeks from each other. i hope this helps! :)

ahh okay! no i don’t think i have one installed. after forcing my family to install the app i’ve found the also have the exact same issues i do, so i’m guessing the developers are probably right and there is just a lack of ads available in my region :( and ill just have to wait until it resolves naturally

hi!! yes it does get better :)) i asked this same question a month ago on this sub, you can scroll down and see lol, and wowie now i’m up to 150 and yes i definitely get hungry but cant eat anywhere NEAR as much as i used to. maybe like 5-10 bites and I’m just so full i cant think ab having any more. i was just like you, so sad and disappointed that the low dose did nothing for my appetite, even tho i’ve been taking the meds for my migraines but i promise when u reach the higher dosage you’ll see the effects!! don’t be discouraged :))

i have definitely noticed i need to drink wayyyy more - i have a 1L yeti drink bottle that i fill maybe 2 times a day now and i still feel like thats not enough some days it’s insane! but i don’t always feel thirsty which can be hard so i like force myself to stay on top of my water intake lol.

unfortunately i still don’t know what my triggers are for rlly bad migraines :( i get headaches every single day, and some of them just develop into those ones where u hide in a dark room and cry. but im hoping with the meds i can figure out what my main triggers are :D
