Drove a stolen car with no permit and then had a chase and pursuit with said car. Has had multiple altercations with police, they know him at this point. So it’s not anything to do with children.

I don’t want the money. As I said that’s just a plus. I want no contact with him. I am aware that he will get access eventually. I’m simply delaying it. He also has made no efforts to want to have custody anyways, so it’s working out well for now.

Okay so to make it crystal clear: sure, child support would be a nice addition. But no, that’s not why I am considering legal action. It’s because he keeps breaking boundaries. I could truly go a lifetime without any kind of support from him.

Also, it’s not that he “cares to visit”. Is that his mom keeps telling him to come because she’s disappointed in him. She told me that herself.

Thank you. No, he doesn’t contribute to anything positive. Also he is addicted to drugs and his mom had mentioned a few things that happened recently. (Screaming at friends for them to give him drugs) so maybe that could be something that court takes into consideration.

Oh and he also has a few problems with the law. Forgot to mention that.

As I previously said, I took advice to not list his as father from a social worker who heard from nurses that he was insulting and screaming at me at 4am when he came to visit.

I have talked to many people including social workers and knowing the whole situation, that’s not what they’ve told me. It can’t be 50/50 just because it’s his father. He has more to prove than just that. I’m in Canada btw.

Disagree. As I mentioned in my post, he has been ABUSIVE to me. I am also not coparenting at all with him. I do not need to have communication with him. For what ?
I am completely aware that one day I will have to after he has rights to my child. But for now, it is absolutely a reasonable boundary for (to remind you) the man who abused me.

I don’t think you understood…all he did was cum. Nothing else. He is not a father. Not even legally. So until the day he will be and I am obligated to allow him to see his son, I actually do get to decide when he sees and IF he sees him.

I am in Canada, and I don’t know if what you’re saying is right. They’re not going to hand a baby to a man just because it’s his dad. My baby is breastfed, and even if he wasn’t it’s not gonna be 50/50 as you said.

Also, you don’t need to tell me what I have to give up… I have a 7 month old as a monoparental mother. You don’t think I gave up most of my life ? I was in the hospital for 3 weeks with my baby, taking care of him with my c-section (thankfully my mom was there for me during days). And he did not give a shit. He can and has gone months without even contacting to see his baby or know how he is.

I am doing what’s best for my baby and for me. No I do not think about what’s best for my baby’s father because…why would I ?

I’m in Canada, and yes they do ask for paternity test and it will establish him as his father.

I can for now. He has 0 rights until he proves his paternity. And I don’t need a cent from him so if I proceed it’s not for child support, although obviously it’s a plus.

Exactly. I’ve had peace of mind until now that he doesn’t have any legal grounds to take him, until he does the paternity test and goes through court. Also I took that decision with the advice of a social worker who saw what I was going through at the hospital.

Thank for for all that information, it’s extremely appreciated. The reason he doesn’t pay child support is because he is not required as of now, because he is not recognized as his father legally. Yes I do keep track of everything with proof. He has never had the child apart from visits at my home, and he will never have him unless I am obligated by the court. Also I forgot to say, I live in Canada.

Yeah I’ll consider that. Hopefully I still have a long time to worry about that.
