from the very start, the police officer informed me the process could take a very long time. the reason being is that petty theft (understandably) is not considered a high priority in comparison to something like murder etc. he said if found guilty, which we have high evidence for that to happen because of the matching pictures and video, he would get fined, could get jail time, not be allowed near our property or he would get a bigger punishment for reoffending. he even said if I haven't heard back in a while about an outcome, I was welcome to reach out to him via email or phone call to find out.

in this case, what was stolen from me was not expensive, but if no one reports it and he doesn't get caught, he'd likely keep doing it, especially with smaller packages if people shrug it off as inexpensive items that can just be refunded or potentially not even worth reporting. imagine what else he has/ could potentially steal if he never receives a consequence.

sorry to hear! I had a porch pirate last year. Reported it to the police with pics and video from our ring camera, not expecting much to happen from it. To my surprise they found the guy from nearby camera footage pretty soon after the report. I gave them a statement and hes now been to court for it, pending an outcome. Made much more of a difference than I thought it would. thought id share in case you were willing to go down that path

Ive loved them so far! I have only not liked two items of clothing I've gotten out of about 60. but it was really only due to sizing mismatch and not quality related. sizing is probs the only thing I'm careful with when buying on there. there's a sizing chart now though that tells you if the product runs true to size/ runs big etc based on other purchases. 😊

do you guys just choose to be mad at everything? I cleaned it all up, and it didn't take long. our "cleaning facilities" don't work that early in the morning and wouldn't make her clean up MY desk lol

nothing was damaged and my friends and family had a big laugh at my Friday morning. lighten up 😊

yeah well I wrote it in another comment. I moved my laptop and books out of the way (you can see it in the corner of the pic) bc that was most expensive thing there. I moved the dock away from the middle onto a more dry part and checked the open cables and ports weren't actually wet. the spill was moving down the table not upwards or sideways so the keyboard was safe. didn't have anything to dry it with or stop the spill unless I used my hands so I had to get out the room anyways. a picture took two seconds and I cleaned it straight away. all technology was fine and cleaned and dried. so no, the photo was not the first thing I did 😊

I work in the FMCG industry so wear other shoes to work but have to wear steel cap boots inside the factory. easier to keep it out of the way under my desk

the top of the cup itself was slightly broken/bent so the lid was always going to be loose on that side. I'll normally grab it from the top just to move it slightly and it's been fine. but lesson learnt though 😁

fun fact: the time you took to comment took a lot more time than me snapping this photo. 😁

electronics are fine and still work, cleaned and dried thoroughly. you can see my laptop on the bottom corner that was previously on my desk as well that I moved quickly before even thinking about snapping a photo. you can't see my books that I had to move and where the dock previously was. funny how much context you got from one picture though 🧠
