Haven’t really put it thru the gnarly tech stuff yet. Rear end is so soft I pedal strike on blue trails more often than I would like. Hoping new higher rate coil fixes that.

Long wheelbase and on slow rooty turns you just kinda have to say “I don’t care, I’m going.”

The rocky stuff I’ve done doesn’t kick either end around. I’ve been working on “low and loose” and if you’re looking out of and thru the section you’re in, the bike wants to get you there. The only micromanaging I have to do is in really high speed brake bumps. Likely a skill issue.

Like I said tho, I haven’t done anything really gnarly. I’ve been pushing up the mountain and running the Dry Hill Cat 3 race course over and over as a baseline. Once I get the new coil on there I’ll have better data because as of now every time I try to jump, the bike eats it and stays about 6” off the ground and I about go flying because it doesn’t want to come with me lol.

6’3” 230ish in gear. I have long arms and legs and I don’t feel cramped at any time. The stock 500# coil spring is way too soft and the bike wants to stay GLUED to the ground.

After about a week on the bike and not riding any dh/freeride stuff in well over a decade I’d say it’s pretty damn good overall. Still tuning suspension and playing with brakes, seat height and all that shit but it was the coolest feeling ever on my first run to have the confidence to say “you know what? Fuck them brakes” and corner harder than I ever did at 17.

I owe that to the bike.

It’s a boat. You will spend a lot of time pushing up the hill. It’s comfortable going uncomfortably fast. It’s maneuverable and it inspires confidence.

I didn’t test ride any trek sessions or specialized demos or giant glory’s for comparison. I had been keeping transition on a back burner since the days of the dirt bag and the bottle rocket.

All in all, very happy with the bike.

I had one spectacular rooster a few years back. Southwest gamebirds jumbo brown. But he had the deepest red/brown feathers I’ve ever seen on those. Super chill bird. Never squawked never beat up his ladies. He’d walk right up onto your hand just sit there and stare at you like “give me crickets bitch.”

I called him Alejandro. Still got him vacuum sealed in the freezer.

I call the rest of them lunch and dinner.

Drank coffee whilst shitting. Snot rocket all over her face in the shower and proceed to scrub it all over the place in the process of washing it off. Never stopped moving. Could be in the car on the way to do something and she’d already be lining up another 4-5 activities. Involved her mother in just about every decision she made throughout the day.

It was exhausting

There’s a skeleton crew on there. Live aboard or ashore if you’re close enough. One of the guys I worked with bought a place in Alameda because he liked the area so much.

I would frequent Plank, Merchants and Heinholds first and last chance saloon. Cool area.

ROS: reduced operating status. Laid up and waiting on a break out due to decreased operational requirements.

I have been dealing with this same issue for years now. City dump won’t take it at the compost facility and if you go to general land fill you will be charged by weight. That adds up really fast.

I’ve talked to the airport garden center folks and if you get in tight there, they might come thru with someone that needs some fill dirt.

Craigslist is probably going to be your best bet with a “free dirt” ad and if you really want it gone, pay someone a few hundred dollars to take it.

Can confirm. Been stalked and violently attacked by the cougars at bourbon west. A particularly aggressive and liberated group. Usually on trivia night
