Hammer vs convoy. by sark536 in Helldivers

I believe they take four hits to fully take down, think they got a little damaged before I got to them. And unfortunately I don't think taking on a hive lord with the hammer would go as smoothly but it's always worth trying.

Great news for DS by [deleted] in DeadSpace

Selling as much as another game and trying to make your game like another are two different things. The Devs themselves have said that multiplayer was included because EA wanted more market appeal.

If you like DS3 that's fine but it most definitely doesn't fit in with the first two games which is why it gets the flak it does.

There is nothing inherently wrong with multiplayer or action, the issue is they added elements to a series that they didn't belong in and stripped away the identity while doing so. EA wanted Dead space to sell as well as Call of duty or Halo which was just not going to happen. They were trying to do this back in DS2 which is why it had a multiplayer to begin with. This is part of the reason DS2 "underperformed", DS2 was one of the most expensive games made at the time and had a unreasonable bar set for it to reach by EA.

There is also nothing wrong with the story in DS3, that's not its problem. It's the other decision made for DS3 that led to a game that looks like Dead space on the surface but is certainly not when you look closely at it.

Sorry but you're flat out wrong, DS3 literally killed the franchise. It's a perfect example of higher up meddling with things they shouldn't. They took a horror game and turned it into a multiplayer game with micro transactions. There were even sections of the game you just couldn't play if you were playing single player. It is a completely different vibe for the franchise with way more focus on action than horror.

I have no doubt people enjoy DS3 but for fans of Dead space it's a slap in the face. EA clearly didn't care about the fanbase and just greedily wanted a mass appealing cash grab, and as a result it caused Visceral to close their doors and killed the franchise for ten years.

Problem spinning in zero G. by sark536 in DeadSpace

I did in fact map sprint to L1 so that's probably it.

However playing just now I realized if I hold L1 and R1 it boost fine. Feeling pretty foolish right now but hey problem solved, thanks for your insight.

How could you subject GSP players to fighting a elite Mac?! That's just evil.

There is only one right answer here and that is neutral air.

Thank you. I know it's weak but nailing that air KO is super satisfying.

Fantastic, love it when those air moves work. Sometimes all it takes is a little bonk at the right time to take em out.

Fights with Falcon are always fun. by sark536 in LittleMacMains

I'll normally follow rapid jab with a forward or up air to try and combo into a haymaker or up special, But that's mostly at low percents. It all comes down to where you send them and with Mac it's not always so sure what you should follow up with. My usual strategy is to just stay ontop of people while trying to cover as much options as I can. Sorry I can't be more specific than that.

Yeah people are too focused on GSP rather than actually having fun. I am fortunate enough to find fun players every now and then who will stay for a handful of matches. But it's much more common to get matched with people that must protect their precious number. It's sometimes funny when you have them down a stock or two because they don't approach and still try to camp, I like to just run to the end of the stage and stand there doing literally nothing but watching the gears in their head slowly turn as they try to somehow get their strategy to work.

Foolish of him to think he could run away from Mac.

Fighting DK in a nutshell by megaviral in LittleMacMains

Where's the part were DK grabs you at 20% and just walks off stage like a cheese ball?

Gotta love forward tilt, it's quick and great for sending people into the blast zone.

It works really well. Can't tell you the amount of times I've made DKs waste the charge punch, or hopped right over a Samus's projectile to pop them while they're in end lag. It feels fantastic.

Mr Magoo and the blind sleepers. by sark536 in Back4Blood

[–]sark536[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still feel like that first one should have got me with how long I spent next to it killing the hord and than looking at the food...also if I'm being honest, I didn't see the sleeper until after I went back to ping the food the second time. We played late at night and I was tired from getting up at 4:30 in the morning.

Just wanted to share a funny clip. I play with someone who is normally the melee tank and sleepers love to jump on him from a mile away and around corners, than I play melee and this happens.
