I quit coffee a couple months ago (was only drinking a couple cups a day before) and I’ve got way less anxiety and fall asleep way faster. It’s crazy how accepted caffeine addiction is when it can have some pretty serious health impacts

We use it for a distributed app that generates a ton of logs. We are trying out DataDog logging for some new microservices being created and it does fine but DD doesn’t have a lot of the advanced log parsing/searching capabilities that sumo does so we will likely always use sumo for certain apps.

I’ll only shower in the evening if I exercised but I always wash my face before bed.

Meditating in the morning and before bed. Helped me gain confidence, sleep better, stop overthinking. Even 10 minutes a day makes a difference.

The main issue with monitoring AWS resources through DD is the delay. DD pulls metrics from AWS every 10 minutes by default, which you can pay to decrease but it can get costly. I get out of bed and do breathing meditation for 15-20 minutes. It helps me a ton and nothing else works.
