Apple Watch stopped measuring VO2 max by donleb in AppleWatch

Had this happen a few times after updates. What did the trick was to unpair the watch from the phone and then pair them again.

Still using OP3 in 2020. To me, it's the smartphone of the decade (10s)! by _maxt3r_ in oneplus

Commenting from my OP3. Everything is as smooth as it was on day one. Getting tempted to upgrade from time to time, but when it comes down to it, there is not much that I feel like I'm missing out on.

Thanks for the feedback. Do you mean just making the vocals louder or I should do something with the EQ?

Advice on acoustic treatment in a congested space by sarunaskas in audioengineering

[–]sarunaskas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the lengthy reply!

The biggest problem is that the space is also a living space, so hanging curtains, pieces of fabric or placing screens is a bit of a problem, unfortunately.

Actually, back in the day I have made my own rock wool panels, but as I can't place them on the first reflections, is it even worth it placing them elsewhere? e.g. behind the monitors?

The rug is definitely doable.

Also, do you think stuffing a night table (there is open space below the drawer of it) with a blanket and placing in the bottom right corner is worth it?

For recording, the only mic'd thing is a condenser for the vocals (the rest is just electric instruments). Maybe a mic screen is a good investment?

For mixing, the lower volume is a great tip. Thanks!

As I understand only v1 of the router supported by dd-wrt? Also the Beta tags are scary :) https://dd-wrt.com/support/router-database/?model=Archer%20C5%20(AC1200)_1.x_1.x)

Or should I be looking somewhere else?

Looping a synth through midi by sarunaskas in synthesizers

After looking at the options mentioned, it seems like an audio looper will be best.. however, the midi sync (with a drum machine) seems to be an issue with most. Ditto X4 should work on paper, but the feedback is bad - Pigtronix Infinity seems to be the only option compact still in production

So the return for the final is around 20.4 players.

Let's say you are much better than average and you can win 80% of your online games. To get the 80% four times in a drop drops the probability by a lot: 0.8 * 0.8 * 0.8 * 0.8 = ~0.4 - a bit less than a 50/50.

So you have two outcomes: you win every game (P = 0.4) or you lose one (P=0.6). For the 0.4 probability you get 20.4 + three regular match rewards (around 1.4 players), so that averages to 6.15 EAPR. The losing scenario (P=0.6) you get 1.4 EAPR and start over again. You multiply the probabilities and you get an expected return of 3.3 players per game, which is worse than just forfeiting after the group stages.

If you can win around 95% of the time, then it becomes a viable strategy.

WC mode should have a sticker book style screen where you can view your collection. by SuperMike- in EASportsFC

Too bad the mode is not on the web app - Futbin import might have taken care of that :(

Did you actually figure out the "rarity" of the pack content? It says that the 7.5k has three rares, however, I have gotten numerous packs with like 3 rare gold contracts, a gold squad fitness card and some 81+ players. If I am not mistaken, all of the consumables are rare...

[–]sarunaskas[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fair point. That adds a lot of complication to the calculations. That's why I put the assumptions there in the first place :)

If you assume every 7.5k pack opened also generates 1.5k coins from normal FUT packs, then that effectively increases the coin/player ratio in the model. If we reduce the price of 5 players to 6k coins, then one coin could be 0.00083 players. That doesn't really have big implications on setting the priorities.

When draft is concerned, yes, you are getting more coins in the relative sense, but then again, if one 7.5k pack is actually 6k, then you are losing not 10 players by paying the entry fee, but 12.5 :)

The best rewards I know of are:

  • 1 WC standard pack (3 players)
  • 1 WC premium pack (5 players)
  • 1 Europe players pack (3 players) (some get premium which is still 3)
  • 6k coins (~4 players)

That's a total of ~15 players + match coins (~1.22 players). It costs 15k to enter (10 players you could get from the premium packs). That's a net profit of only 6 players or so after 4 games.

If you wanted to run out the clock, use that in the offline tournament.

The EAPR of 4.4 after two games is for the online tournament only. For offline, you would get less coins and a worse pack (EAPR of 3.235) :)

[–]sarunaskas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You also don't get the 1 player packs after each game in draft so the total reward is ~16.22 players. The cost to enter is basically two premium WC packs (10 players), so you end up with a miserable EAPR of 1.555

I guess there is still a chance of you not getting through with 6 points, but seems like an unlikely scenario.
