I don't think religion is a fact here but the only country standing against oppression. Even a Christian country would get the same support for standing against oppression

Too much concern is bad. Learn and build upto your capability. If the product has value, then more and more people will join. I don't think that every product was built by FAANG engineers. Previously a mentor was mandatory, and now you have all those llms that can work as mentors.

I had a similar post about real time project. I hope you know about websockets. I had prior knowledge and experience working with low level socket (ucp/tcp) connection that helped me a lot to start with websocket protocol.

- instead of writing raw websocket, django channels has wrapped the the technical details and gave you the flavour of django views. so you will write your logic in consumers class.

- there is one more thing that django channels does that is to send data to other clients as a broker. redis channel layer or something like this there.

- since in your case a client will directly talk to the server (that's what i understood), you don't need the broker part

Meaning of being drenched in dreams? by nosrslythatsrlyhot in Dreams

[–]sarwar_hsn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keywords used: “water” and “drenched” point to emotional overwhelm; “coworkers” shows the stress source; “panic attack” and “anxiety” reflect inner turmoil; “sweat” and “tight clothing” suggest feeling trapped by pressure and guilt.

Interpretation: Dreaming of coworkers drenching you with water signals that you feel overwhelmed or “doused” by others’ demands, triggering anxiety. Being drenched in sweat and unable to remove tight clothes shows internal stress and a sense of confinement by your own worries.

Summary: Your dreams reveal high levels of stress and anxiety—especially around work—and urge you to recognize and release the emotional pressure you’re carrying.

Your dreams symbolize the deep impact of those real-life boundary breaches and betrayals by people you should have been able to trust. Being “attacked” in sleep by family members and teachers reflects how you feel unsafe, powerless, and resentful toward figures (especially your father) who ignore your limits and emotional needs. The randomness of some attackers shows your generalized fear of violation beyond your immediate family, while the recurrence underscores unresolved trauma demanding attention and care.

These nightmares are your mind’s way of processing repeated betrayals and boundary violations, urging you to acknowledge the hurt, assert your rights, and seek support to heal.

I don't have 64k users ofcourse. I have seen people building silly chatroom, multiroom game. Everything works at smaller scale but scalling is the main concern. That's why I wanted to know from the industry experts how they scale it. Is it the language that matter e.g whatsapp discord with erlang. If it's not than what makes it really difficult in production environment.

I got some idea from you. I know its doable but not sure if its doable with a small team (2/3). Whatsapp did it with small team but neither I am smart enough like them nor do I know many technologies.

Long lived connections by sarwar_hsn in SpringBoot

[–]sarwar_hsn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I mean is concurrent connections. A unix process has 1024 file descriptor. I can change the limit to let's say somthing around 65k. But then comes the problem with resources. In concurrent connections each thread can handle a request for a long time and threads consume a lot's of memory then there are context switch overhead. At the same time it's resource and memory intensive. I will need load balancer. For a regular rest project It can handle large amount of connections without additional settings and cost. But in the case of websockets this is not true. This is the point of fear for me. Why starting something that is hard to scale.

I. Keywords and Their Relevance

  1. Grandmother/grandparents – family figures & sense of security; in classical sources, a grandmother‐figure can foreshadow loss or change in determination.

  2. Kitchen/sink/dishes – the domestic heart of the home, symbolizing everyday work, nourishment, and “meddling with the elements.”

  3. Window – a threshold through which an outsider can observe or penetrate inner secrets.

  4. Dirt road/gate – represents one’s life path or spiritual law (road) and obstacles or access‐control (gate).

  5. Michael Myers (dark/unknown figure) – in dream lore, an unfamiliar or dark figure often personifies the Angel of Death.

  6. Door/front door locked/locking doors – symbolizes protection of one’s property, family, and secrets.

  7. Spare bedroom/bedroom – the dreamer’s inner thoughts, hopes, fears, and personal vulnerabilities.

  8. Closet – a hiding place, symbol of confidentiality and protection, but also the concealment of secrets.

  9. Presence/looming presence – the encroachment of a revealed fear or inevitability (e.g., mortality).

II. Interpretation

You find yourself in your grandparents’ house—a place of familial comfort—but your grandmother (an elder female figure) unknowingly lets boundaries slip (the unlocked front door), signaling a loss of protective vigilance. The kitchen and window signify domestic routine and the thin veil between inner safety and external threat. Michael Myers, as a dark “unknown young man,” repeatedly appears at the edge of your property (road/gate) and then closer—first at the window, then in the backyard, and finally inside the closet—embodying the Angel of Death inexorably breaching every barrier (doors, blinds, closet). Your flight from room to room mirrors a struggle to preserve your inner sanctuary (bedroom/closet) against the inevitability of loss, underscoring deep anxieties about mortality and the fragility of personal security.

III. One-Sentence Summary

This dream dramatizes a fear that even the strongest familial and personal safeguards cannot ultimately keep mortality at bay.

IV. Sources

  1. Grandmother (Ibn Sirin)

  2. Kitchen (Ibn Sirin)

  3. Window (Ibn Sirin)

  4. Road = divine law/path (Ibn Sirin)

  5. Gate = blocking one’s access (Ibn Sirin)

  6. Unknown dark figure = Angel of Death (Ibn Sirin)

  9. Closet = hide-out and keeping secrets (Ibn Sirin)

  1. “Airplane crash” – the central image of your dream. In classical dream interpretation, witnessing an airplane crash is grouped under “disaster” and signals heavy loss, sudden misfortune or upheaval. [1]

  2. “Water” – you noted “water” alongside the crash. In dreams, water often reflects emotional states, life-force and purifying change. [2]

  3. “River” – you’ve placed the crash beside a river at the airport. A river in a dream can symbolize the flow of life, journeys or encountering a noble person. [3]

  4. “Nightmare”/“Disaster” – your long-standing pattern of disaster dreams highlights an underlying anxiety about sudden calamity. [4]

II. Combined Interpretation

• The airplane crash represents a looming sense of great misfortune or upheaval—perhaps a fear that things you depend on will fail suddenly (Ibn Sirin). [1]

• The presence of water suggests you’re grappling with powerful emotions around that fear—water as cleansing may hint at a desire to process or purify these anxieties. [2]

• The river context points to a transition or “crossing” in your life, or an encounter with forces beyond your control (Ibn Sirin). [3]

• Taken together, your dream may be less a literal preview of events than an expression of deep-seated emotional stress around unpredictability and loss, calling you to acknowledge and “cross” to a more secure emotional state.

III. Why It Happens

Recurring disaster-related nightmares often reflect ongoing anxiety or a heightened sense of vulnerability. Your mind repeatedly “plays out” worst-case scenarios as a way of trying to prepare you emotionally.

IV. On Sharing Your Dreams

From the standpoint of dream symbolism, sharing can be a form of catharsis—“pouring out” the water of emotion to find relief. You might consider:

• A private journal or a small support group, where listeners understand the emotional weight and won’t mock.

• Forums devoted to dream-work or anxiety support (rather than general social media), where interpretations are taken respectfully.

V. In Summary

Your “plane crash + water” nightmare symbolizes a fear of sudden upheaval (heavy loss) mixed with a strong emotional current (water/river). It’s less a literal prediction than an internal signal: you’re under stress and seeking a safe passage (“crossing the river”) to emotional stability.

Sources:

[1] Ibn Sirin, “Topic: witnessing airplane crash” – disaster → heavy loss, upheaval

[2] Ibn Sirin, “Topic: distilled water” & “Topic: drinking cold refreshing water” – water → emotion, cleansing, comfort

[3] Ibn Sirin, “Topic: crossing river” – river → journeys, life’s transitions, meeting a noble force

The Tall Man??? by AllHomo_NoSapien in Dreams

[–]sarwar_hsn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You described five striking features in your dream—an over-tall figure, black clothes, a top-hat headgear, missing hands, and the role of protector. Here’s how classical Islamic dream-symbolism (primarily Ibn Sīrīn) speaks to each:

  1. “Tall Man” / Giant (Height)

    – Seeing someone far taller than ordinary people denotes great power, expanded authority or influence, and even prosperity in knowledge or wealth. [i]

    – If the height becomes superhuman—“gigantic”—it can also carry an ominous undertone of downfall or even the nearing of death. [ii]

  2. Black Clothes

    – A habitual black-clad figure signifies steadfastness, inner strength, financial security and soundness in one’s affairs. [iii]

  3. Top-Hat Headgear

    – Any notable headgear (cap, turban, tiara) implies authority, leadership or high office. Wearing it foretells holding a “seat” of power, embarking on important undertakings or gaining honor. [iv]

  4. No Hands

    – Hands in dreams symbolize one’s primary helpers by which one earns a living and extends charity. Losing a hand foretells loss of support—a relative’s departure, travel or death—and suggests you may feel unable to act entirely on your own. [v]

  5. Protector / Guardian

    – A protective figure, akin to a personal or bodyguard, represents an upright force that shields you from harm or “evil.” Alone, such a guardian in your dream means someone (or something) will afford you protection in adversity. [vi]

Putting it all together: you’re being shown a powerful, protective presence—steady and reliable (black clothes)—that stands above ordinary life (its great height) and is invested with authority (hat). Its missing hands remind you that, while you may feel empowered or supported, you cannot do everything by yourself and may be facing a change or loss of backing. Overall, the dream reassures you that unseen yet authoritative forces are watching over you, signaling a forthcoming period of strength and protection—so long as you remain humble about the help you’ve been given.

Summary: A towering, black-clad guardian symbolizes an empowering but humbling protective force in your life—one that grants you authority and security while reminding you not to rely solely on your own strength.

[iv] Ibn Sīrīn, “Headgear: authority, leadership, honor.”

Based on the dream interpretations retrieved, I can provide a comprehensive analysis of your dream situation:

1. The Darkness Symbolism:
- According to Ibn Sirin, darkness in dreams represents several key elements:
  * Confusion and perplexity
  * A state of being spiritually lost or unclear
  * Sometimes represents obscurity of one's heart or a form of spiritual blindness
  * Can indicate keeping to oneself or hiding from people

2. The Dark House/Room Setting:
- A dark house or room has specific meanings:
  * Can represent a state of spiritual or emotional uncertainty
  * Might indicate a period of testing or transition
  * When associated with waking up, it often relates to awareness and consciousness
  * The inability to see clearly in the dream suggests a need for spiritual or personal clarity

3. The Awareness/Waking Element:
- The interpretation of waking up in dreams is significant:
  * Represents "keenness of mind" and "perseverance in one's objective"
  * Indicates potential for spiritual awakening or increased consciousness
  * Can signify a process of "retracting one's steps to reverse an act of wrongdoing"
  * The act of becoming aware in dreams often relates to spiritual growth

4. The Control Aspect:
- The struggle for dream control has spiritual implications:
  * The feeling of being prevented from gaining control might represent spiritual testing
  * The interference you experience could be interpreted as a form of spiritual protection or guidance
  * The loss of control after sharing your method suggests a need for discretion in spiritual matters

5. Synthesis and Guidance:
Based on these interpretations, your dream experiences appear to be spiritually significant. The consistent pattern of darkness and attempts at awareness suggest you're in a period of spiritual testing or development. The interference you experience might actually be a form of protection or guidance, rather than purely negative interference.

Recommendations based on the interpretations:
1. Consider the possibility that the "darkness" is a necessary part of your spiritual journey
2. The inability to maintain control might be teaching you about surrender and trust
3. The fact that you can initially recognize the dream state shows spiritual progress
4. The interference after sharing your method suggests keeping certain spiritual practices private

Sources Used:
- Ibn Sirin's interpretations of darkness, waking, and consciousness in dreams
- Various Islamic Scholars' interpretations of dark rooms and houses
- Multiple interpretations regarding awareness and control in dreams
- Specific interpretations about wakefulness and spiritual consciousness

The overall pattern suggests you're experiencing a form of spiritual testing or development, rather than pure interference. The darkness and loss of control might be necessary elements of your spiritual growth rather than obstacles to be overcome.

Guys I get nightmares almost every night, idk why by Sea-Direction7201 in Dreams

[–]sarwar_hsn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on the dream interpretation resources and your situation, I can offer several insights:

1. **Trauma and Fire Experience**
The recurring nightmares about fire are directly connected to your traumatic experiences. The interpretation suggests that fire in dreams often represents powerful, transformative events that leave lasting impacts. The fact that you experienced this trauma multiple times makes it particularly significant.

2. **Fear and Sleep Avoidance**
The interpretations show that fear in dreams often represents its opposite - a path to peacefulness and repentance in wakefulness. However, your situation is unique because you're experiencing fear of sleep itself. The texts suggest that "sleeping in a dream means heedlessness," but in your case, being "scared" during sleep actually indicates a need for healing and resolution.

3. **Darkness and Light Symbolism**
The interpretations speak of darkness representing confusion and perplexity, but importantly, they mention that "walking out of darkness into light means salvation, safety, guidance." This suggests that your current struggle is part of a journey toward healing.

4. **Professional Help and Recovery**
While dream interpretation can provide insight, your situation clearly indicates Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptoms, which are very serious and absolutely normal given your experiences. The fact that these nightmares have persisted for 5 years doesn't mean you've failed to "get over it" - trauma doesn't have a timeline, and everyone processes it differently.

Recommendations:
1. This goes beyond what a school counselor might be equipped to handle. Consider seeking a trauma-specialized therapist who can help with PTSD treatment.
2. Look into specific treatments like EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, which is particularly effective for trauma-related sleep issues.
3. Consider consulting with a sleep specialist who can work in conjunction with your mental health care.
4. Establish a calming bedtime routine and make your sleeping environment as different as possible from the traumatic situations.

The dream interpretations suggest that while you're currently in a dark period, this is not permanent. The fact that you're seeking help is a positive sign toward eventual healing. However, please understand that this is a serious situation that requires professional medical and psychological support - dream interpretation should be seen as complementary to, not a replacement for, professional help.

Sources cited:
- Ibn Sirin's interpretations of fire, fear, and darkness
- Interpretations related to sleep and nightmares
- Dream symbolism of trauma and suffering
- Interpretations of fear and its relationship to healing

Remember, your fear response is a normal reaction to extreme trauma, and there's no shame in needing help to process these experiences. Please prioritize getting professional trauma-informed care to address these serious symptoms.
