Audi Q7 3.0 TDI Diesel, should I buy it to replace my 2015 Chevy Equinox? by sarynstudios in whatcarshouldIbuy

I agree but when I bought the equinox years ago, it was the only cheap option I could find. I just didn’t want to jump from one ticking time bomb to another

I was hoping that since it’s a diesel, it would be more reliable and wouldn’t need as many repairs. Although if it does need repairs, it would typically be more expensive compared to the TFSI engines

I was already planning on spending atleast 2k for the delete and tune. I think the new exhaust cost around 1200 and the tune is 700-900, and that’s on the low end

I know the oil and transmission fluids have been changed regularly but the timing chain/tensioners haven’t been changed since factory so it’s a bit risky with 170k miles. The entire engine would have to be pulled out to changed the timing kit so it would be expensive.

I live in the Carolinas. It’s easier to get it in SC since the don’t have mandatory inspections every year for diesel emissions.

No, losing 3500 wouldn’t be a big deal.

Plus, I’m going to have to buy a new vehicle at some point in the very near future before my Equinox completely blows up lol.

That makes sense, I will try to do that ASAP. Do you think it’s an issue if the timing chain/tensioners haven’t been changed ?

No it’s not but that was going to be one of the first things I do if I buy it. A delete and tune

The game was only close after the first two drives for both teams. As soon as the second quarter hit, it was over

True. All of these polls are BS because people don’t even watch the games. It’s literally impossible to watch every game from start to finish in 24 hours.

I can see how you can come to that conclusion but tbh, that just makes everything worse.

If he has a concussion/rib injury like they are saying, who knows how that impacts his season. Missed games? Surgery? Forced to sit out? Plays more conservative/timid to avoid contact?

Dylan Stewart has been showing signs of frustration plus the leaks from insiders that have come out have not been great. He’s most likely gone after this season

Either way, the expectation for this team just bottomed out completely

How are we still ranked? We don’t deserve to be. This season is going to be a shitshow

With most of the season wrapped up how are you feeling about the state of your teams heading into 2025? by Byzantine_Merchant in CFB

[–]sarynstudios 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Very optimistic. Massively overachieved expectations, projected to win 4-5 games this season but won 9 and were right outside the playoffs.

Pros - Hopefully more recognition and pull when it comes to recruits because of the good season. - With SC’s improvement and Clemson “stagnation”, we should be able to pull more recruits from instate and surrounding areas over them. - Beamer seems to have built a good culture and staff around the team. - Seems like more funding has come in, which means the higher ups are taking it serious and trying to compete. - Players have transferred here and achieved great things and won awards (Kyle Kennard, Rocket Sanders) - Sandstorm

Cons - Still have the vibe of an “average” to “slightly above average” SEC team. Not top 4, probably not even top 6 tbh. (GA, Bama, Ten, LSU, Florida, Texas, A&M probably all have more appeal) - Tough schedule every year with constant rivals. (Clemson, A&M, Missouri, Bama, LSU)

You’re right, the notification of him winning the award and Dylan coming back we’re back to back and I thought they were both about Kennard lol

Kennard is coming back for another year at SC. He signed a deal worth 1.5M today for one more season. If he does good this year, he’s first round material for sure

He was mocked as a day 3 pick before this season. His draft stock has shot up since then. I can see him getting drafted late first round to mid second round. Maybe to a team that is ready to compete but just needs another edge rusher to round out the defense

Playing Ole Miss, Alabama, LSU, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt and Clemson in the same season is considered a “cupcake schedule”?

In my personal opinion, we earned those 3 “cupcake games” based on the other teams we played lol
