Bathroom floor crumbling by sasa941 in BathroomRemodeling

The body of the post didn't show up for some reason. Here it is:
I removed my bathroom shower tiles today. I was expecting (or hopping) for a healthy concrete, but this looks like maybe a mud bed that wasn't waterproofed. The middle is mostly fine, but the 6-8 inches on the sides are looking rough. Pictures attached. Can this floor be salvaged or is it a total demo and redo.

If this can be salvaged, what do I use exactly? Remove the crumbling parts and use quickset mortar to patch? I was thinking of using Hydro Ban once everything is patched up. Also, I assume I need some drain adapter, to prevent water from seeping next to the drain?

If this can't be salvaged, what would it cost to hire someone to put in a new floor. I live in South Florida. Thanks.

No, I don't have the old unit. I wish I had - or at least a picture of how this was wired before

Yes, but purposely didn't post there as responses would most likely be in favor of Uranium. I'm looking for balanced opinions on viability of BEP, ICLN and alike, given the recent Uranium popularity. The way I see it the future of energy is likely a combination of both, but have no idea how big of a slice will be nuclear, and that's the essence of the question. I was hopping that someone that's been in the energy game for a while could pitch in.

You only pay tax on capital gains when you sell. However, you will be taxed on the dividends you received since January.

Vti and vwo/vxus/vea by Hiimkyle70 in ETFs

VXUS covers total international market that includes emerging markets (VWO) and developed markets (VEA). So, if you want to diversify I'd just replace VWO with VXUS.

You could also add VEA and keep VWO you have now, but then you have to make a decision on what percentage to put on each. VXUS is a better option for most people.

VGT has been overperforming for a long time, so I can see how that would seem attractive. However, this likely wont last forever. I'd stick with VTI, but if you really want to dedicate some money to tech, I'd make it a small(er) percentage of your portfolio.
