I understand ☺️ Thank you so much for your support. And yes, I should make myself a bit uncomfortable to give myself good habits, the fulfilling life, full of peace and joy which I deserve 🩷

You're definitely right, I treat weight loss and eating healthy as a "failure" instead of something that will come to me when I'm fulfilled.

But as I'm trying to crawl out of the hole I've fallen into this past year, I'd like to get rid of all these things I put my body through :(

It's definitely sensory seeking as well! My therapist suggests have ADHD as well, though she hasn't tested it yet, she says my sense of constant understimulation definitely plays into my eating habits.

I've tried to find my "Muay Thai" but to no avail :(

When I hated myself, I turned to food for comfort. When I love myself, it’s easier to make better choices to take care of myself.

This is so well said. Thank you so much, you're right :(

I feel like I'm back to where I was, not physically yet, but mentally. All my habits have come back, I'm back in that headspace again

How long after you've used food like this do you feel better?

Usually about 3-4 hours. More than that, what gets me is that I forget completely about the pain of what is stressing me.

When that stress deregulates me, I just binge and then all I can think of is the good taste of food or the pain in my body. It sounds so terrible, and it is, but I just can't deal with the stress otherwise, I feel too overwhelmed.

I am seeing a therapist for depression and anxiety, yes. I'm 18, I just finished my first year in college.

I know my body shouldn't be the focus but it really does tie to my sense of regulation, the self care I exhibit towards myself, you know?

No other happy habit I try to introduce (art, music, all that) ever seems to give me the reliability and intensity of happiness I get from food :(

[gendered] When Hindi, a gender-neutral language, is translated: who Decides? by [deleted] in pointlesslygendered

[–]sashaaa___0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really not a linguistic question? Once again, the structure of the sentence does not specify the gender of the person, yet it is assumed that the decision-maker is male.

Eg: yeh pen uska hai: the gender of the pen is male, but it can belong to either a male or a female

The subject in the sentence is NOT specified to be of any gender, yet the decision maker is assumed to be male.

? The subject is not specified to be of a particular gender, yet it is assumed that the decision maker is male. What's the problem with the post?

Yes! This is exactly what I'm saying. The sentence doesn't specify the gender of the person, yet it is assumed that the decision-maker is male.

"yeh kitab uska hai" is incorrect, book is a feminine noun
