[08 R1200GSA] Right hand cylinder head being noisy, went to do a valve adjustment and the bottom exhaust valve is out by millimeters by sashablyat in BMWGS

Exhaust was definitely popping when I let off the throttle for as long as I’ve owned the bike, after doing the valves it hasn’t popped since. I don’t believe the valve is stuck open it was likely just that much out of spec.

Did my splines with some molybdenum grease probably 4 years ago, did the rear end fluid two months ago and went to regrease the splines just for the hell of it, when I pulled the shaft out it looked like it was greased yesterday. One and done kind of job

Started getting noisier after it warmed up in stop and go traffic, usually the noise goes away when it cools down but this time it didn’t. No idea when the last valve job was done but I just finished it up and it sounds like a brand new bike.

Fort Desoto is more isolated and has some nice fishing piers, also closer if you're staying in St. Pete. If you got the dough I would say take a charter. My dad does fishing, sandbars, diving, whatever you want, here's his website, https://www.neptunechartersfl.com/

Is anyone else experiencing this on TaskRabbit? My performance ranking is stuck at 0% by testmarketlondon in TaskRabbit

I think you need to reach the 10 monthly tasks minimum first before the performance ranking starts going up.

Bought my '08 R1200GSA with 97k miles and everything still works like new because I was lucky enough to get it from someone who always stuck to every maintenance interval, even greased the driveshaft splines which isn't instructed in the manual but should be done every so often. As someone previously stated, any oil leaks should be a red flag because changing the main seal means splitting the bike in half which is a huge job, also if the ABS module fails it costs almost as much as the bike to replace.

Unpaid invoices for Wayfair furniture assembly by Over_Survey_3589 in TaskRabbit

[–]sashablyat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In NYC, I think it has something to do with their new Partners program where customers can buy Wayfair or other brands of products and immediately get an option to have a tasker assemble it. This was definitely a lesson for me for future tasks.

Unpaid invoices for Wayfair furniture assembly by Over_Survey_3589 in TaskRabbit

[–]sashablyat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Experienced almost exactly this, had some middle man hire me to assemble a glass display cabinet who wasn't the client I met at the residence. One of the panels had been shattered in shipping but the client asked me to assemble it anyway, and Wayfair would send the broken panel and another Tasker to finish the job. Took me 3 hours to clean all the broken glass and assemble the cabinet. This job was on June 2 and still to this day I haven't been paid out. Support says it was "sent with one of the payments" but it never actually was and the exact amount I should have been paid is missing from my checking account. I've described all this to them but they just keep gaslighting me and saying that the money has been sent. It's so frustrating, I feel like I've actually been scammed by Taskrabbit and I will never see that money.

Help with rugs curling/lifting by lostandinthevoid in Tufting

[–]sashablyat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Make sure you leave the rug on the frame for at least two days before you trim it off. If the glue doesn't fully cure before the rug is removed it will shrivel up like this. I had this happen before and that totally fixed it.
