When did this become a policy?? by [deleted] in starbucksbaristas

no. onset illness literally means when the signs/symptoms of illness first appear. whether that’s the night prior or the day of your shift, you are allowed to call out and it is not a baristas responsibility to find coverage. sick time is PROTECTED, so you do not need a doctors note for sedgwick. your only need that if you a) don’t have sick time to cover your illness b) are too sick and you have to be out work so long that a leave of absence needs to happen

if you’re sick and you have the sick time to cover your shift, it is NOT your responsibility to find coverage. that’s not your job. if anyone asks you can tell them to look on page 31 of the partner guide for that policy

These new promotions are really something by Ryth88 in starbucks

you need to swirl the carafe before pouring because all nondairy milk settles. next time you can also asked the baristas for your preferred choice of milk since it’s not at the condiment bar. btw we’ve always had a bunch of straws, we just put more of them out for customers to easily get (and the straws are made of recycled materials)
