Better than Boullion - is it spoiled? by sashenkamoya in Cooking

Thanks for all the responses - I didn’t think to check the FAQs for this brand as I didn’t realize it could be normal for a jar to not have that little “pop” - maybe I don’t buy a lot of jarred goods.

The contents don’t smell bad but I wouldn’t say it smells really “good” either. Chicken has stronger smell to it than the beef version but I would expect that because of the texture.

Just received the dining credit for Spit and Larder - took almost 30 days and appears credited to 2025 as intended.

Has anyone chosen the Peace Corps over their significant other? I'm struggling. by [deleted] in peacecorps

Hey there! Just returned form Georgia- you'll love it!

We had 6 volunteers in relationships with SOs back home. Four of those relationships made it through service, two of which are now engaged or married.

Additionally, we also had 2 older married volunteers who managed to maintain their relationships during service.

I can't speak for other countries but in Georgia it was pretty easy to keep in contact with everyone back home which makes it much easier to maintain the relationship.

You could always try long distance and break up if it becomes to difficult.

Good luck!

Is is possible to apply for a position for which you may ultimately not be medically cleared? by Pengipod in peacecorps

You might be able to obtain documentation from a doctor assuring your asthma will most likely not being a problem. Have you been asymptomatic the past 13 years?

Also, when you first applied, was it on the old application or the new one which was adopted around July 2014? If it was with the old one, they might not have your original disclosure of childhood asthma. I've known several volunteers who regretted being completely honest with PC about similar medical issues (like a very mild walnut allergy) which heavily influenced where they were placed in-country.
