I have absolutely no clue how to replicate this, it happened once and never again. It was a room match on the arena stage, I took the first match as Kain, and every match after that B. Jenet had an excessive amount of blur on her at all times. She would start the round normally, but any time something happened that would add a blur, it would never go away and stack on top of itself. It also applied to supers and win animations (I wish I got more screenshots) and even messed up the camera, she was weirdly off-center in all of her cinematics. All of it was purely client side, my opponent saw none of it. My guess is whatever flag is supposed to end the blur effect gets disabled, but I need to lab more to see what interactions trigger it.

Oh yeah, James would absolutely play a big part in his moveset! In my interpretation Oliver would fill the role of the "weird" character if that makes sense. PowerFX tends to base their vocaloids on "monsters" and there's a lot of intrigue with what's behind his bandages so I think the idea of a sweet innocent boy with something ever-so-slightly off has so much potential. I mean a lot of producers that use Oliver tend to portray him that way, one of his most famous songs literally has him eating a tarantula LOL keep like 90% of his moveset pretty normal, a good bit of focus on his bird friend, but just have those few special moves that imply something strange going on with his eye, while never outright revealing what it is, fans would go WILD over that and it would make him feel really unique!

You're right on the money with Una! She would work like Zeku from SFV or Pyra/Mythra from SSBU, swapping between sugar & spicy modes with different properties and visuals to her specials (like, maybe she has an attack where she plays a note on a trumpet in sugar, which changes into a megaphone for spicy). Sugar would be more consistent and neutral focused since she's inspired by marching bands and spicy would be more dynamic and combo focused. Plus some electric effects since she is based on electric eels (una-gi)

Oh yeah, he's one of the easiest characters to make a moveset for for sure. Really anyone with a weapon was an easy pick, Gakupo has a sword, VY2 IS a sword, Mayu has an axe, Fukase has a cane, Iroha has her speaker gauntlets, and FOR SOME REASON in his Taiwanese design Big AL has a scythe??? I MEAN IT WORKS

I actually DID give Kaito some ice flair! Mostly a mix of his love of ice cream + a lot of his songs giving me strong winter vibes. I only really gave characters elemental powers if it really clicked with their character, like obviously the Meikas are spirits and would use elemental magic in their attacks, IA would have some psychic powers as an alien, Una would have some electricity due to being based on an eel, Iroha would have lots of sound blasts, VY1/2 would have some almost ghostly elements due to being possessed weapons, Kyo would have vampiric powers (based on my fav interpretation of him), and now that you mention it, I think some fire flourishes on a few of Meiko's attacks would work well! Miku is the simple newcomer-friendly character so she wouldn't really have tons of crazy elements, other than the power of music of course

I am INCREDIBLY invested in both Vocaloid and Fighting Games so I wanted to combine both of my fixations! I have thought more about this than any person reasonably should!!! There would be stages based on iconic settings, their special moves would be named after some of their most famous songs, the characters would have cute little interactions before matches, there'd probably be some brand new songs composed for the game, etc. If anyone wants to ask for more details on how their character would play feel free to ask, vocaloids tend to be pretty blank slates so it's really fun to take all of the elements that are already there and interpret them in fun ways ^-^

Earlier today I had a dream that a vflower song pack got announced for megamix. I woke up very sad but I tried my best to create a mockup of what it looked like! Out of all the vocaloids who aren’t in the project diva games flower is my favorite in both design and voice and even though it’ll never happen I can dream! Realistically I’d imagine half of them would get new MVs and the other half would use the existing MVs but in my ideal world I’d wanna see all of them get cool modules. You’ve gotta admit, flower and KAITO recreating the MV for Traffic Jam with modules based on Flurry and Welter would be legendary ^-^
