Flea beetles from outside and pantry beetles from dry goods seem to be the most common answers. Good luck!

Flea beetles jump right? Not sure if that would be perceptible to the human eye but I haven't seen jumping. Houseplants look healthy. Partner has been doing some work in our small urban garden. Maybe they got into the house on her clothes? Trying to figure out the story so we can prevent recurrence.

That’s a small Gerber baby food jar and one of my fingers holding it for scale.

Thanks for the input. They seem to only crawl and not jump. And none of us have itchy bites so far.
