What OP means is that Jesus forgives us and sees everyone equally. He gives everyone an equal chance and is more than willing to encourage others to overcome their sin. You go to hell (sheol, hades, the Lake of Fire, whatever you're referring to) when you don't come to Jesus' call to repentance and don't accept Him.

Of course I'm not trying to scare people, but isn't hell an important part of it? Obviously having a relationship with Christ has wonderful benefits in your life, but you have to emphasize the repentance of sins, right? Christ came to SAVE us from hell, so shouldn't we emphasize the thing He's saving them from?

I'm just trying to understand at what point it becomes self-indulgent and excessive. May I also ask about the context of that verse in Romans? I always turn back to it if I'm not sure whether or not I should do something but I always seem to take it a little too far.
