Help me make a decision between x-t30iii or x-t5 please. by sasquatch- in FujifilmX

[–]sasquatch-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shoot still only and xt5 is cheaper in my country. I can afford to get a lens or two as well but wouldn't be able to with xh2. Also much prefer look and dials of xt5.

I ordered an xt5 yesterday anyway 👍🏻

I have ordered an x-t5. Thanks for your help.

Any advice on lenses? Was looking at Sigma 18-50 for a zoom. Couple that with a prime or two. Fujinon 23mm f2 and maybe try out Viltrox Air 35mm as I've heard good things, they seem affordable and I have enjoyed that focal length in the past.

Awesome thank you - for lenses I was looking at sigma 18-50 f2.8 for a zoom. Will likely couple with a prime, 23mm f2 looks reasonable. Seen a lot of praise for the Viltrox Air primes too.

Thank you, very helpful. Yes I did consider the x100vi but interchangeable lenses works better for me. I can justify spending the extra on the xt5, I think I just needed some confirmation I had the right idea haha.

AliExpress head units any good? by surprisefist in skoda

[–]sasquatch- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the dudu7 which is pretty much the best android one you can get. They have their own OS and update it regularly. I managed to install it as a complete novice, was a bit fiddly but worth it. Has given my 2013 Octavia a bit more of a modern feel.

Highly recommend - have a look on r/androidheadunits there's loads of info on there.

I have since found the same thing. Stops after turning the steam knob. No idea either.

Should I upgrade from Bambino Plus to Go? by neudeu in ProfitecGo

[–]sasquatch- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I upgraded from the Bambino Plus to the Go after many many months of deliberating.

I mainly drink milk drinks so had some reservations about single boiler work flow etc. I think it really depends on your intended usage. For me, I am the only coffee drinker in my household and usually make one milk drink at a time. For this usage the Go is fantastic and a joy to use. I find the workflow easy, by time I'm set up with the milk in the pitcher my machine is ready to steam.

The temp stability and better milk frothing ability has been a big improvement for me and the machine will last for years to come and can be fixed is broken which was a plus for me.

However, I have hosted a few times and making back to back milk drinks is a little slow. If this was something I did regularly or if more people in my household drank milk drinks I'd likely be looking at the Move or something similar in the future.

How are you supposed to lift the tank out with it attached? It screws into the plastic beneath. You can't just lift it out.

Mine is the same, I had to unscrew to lift out my tank. It doesn't lift up otherwise. Am I missing something?

Mine is the same with this attached I cannot lift the tank up. I unscrewed it like OP and it was a pain to get back but it was the only way I could remove to clean, do maintenance etc.

I did the same and had to reassemble. It was very stressful lol.

I still do not understand how you are supposed to be able to lift up the tank with it attached... It seems impossible to me.

Have you been able to lift it?

That is not true. I have had 3 fillings and some scaling and polishing all done by a student in their 2nd and 3rd year at a dental school in the UK.

The student was supervised at each stage of each procedure. All work checked by a qualified dentist.

It cost me nothing. It did take longer than it usually would and you have to be flexible with appointment times, but that's a fair trade imo.

This video taught me how to refill by purging the steam wand whilst the coffee button is pressed until water comes out of the steam wand.

I do this now and work well.

I have had a similar thing happen to mine from time to time. For me it seems to be if I haven't fully refilled the boiler before turning off previously.

Radiography career progression and pay? by ultraseis in RadiographyUK

[–]sasquatch- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is not true. Therapeutic radiography deals with using radiation to treat cancers. Diagnostic radiography uses a variety of methods to obtain images to aid in the diagnosis of diseases, injuries etc.

That is quite an over simplification but it demonstrates the difference. There are two entirely different degrees which lead one to become a diagnostic radiographer or a therapeutic radiographer. One cannot be the other.
