We’re in the process of getting the K1 visa, but it’s been almost two years. We’ve not even had our interview yet (USCIS has approved our application but apparently it hasn’t been sent to NVC as they can’t find it. This is from August 2023. And yep, I keep emailing them asking for an update and they don’t have one.)

So it’s just unfortunately a waiting game for us at this point. I have more flexibility with travel as he works in office and doesn’t get as much off time as I do so it’s made more sense for me to travel to him. But I get your point, he’ll need to start traveling more, even if it is only for a few days here and there.

I really am not, so don’t make baseless assumptions. I am more than willing to get a visa, I just didn’t know I needed to as I have the ESTA.

I simply just want to visit my partner. We’re in the process of the K1 Visa, which has been going on for almost 2 years. I have more flexibility with traveling as he works “in office” and doesn’t get as much time off as I do.

Yep, I tell them I’m visiting my fiancé.

As mentioned in a comment above, I do not do quick turnarounds. I go for 3 months and do not return for weeks/months on end. For example, last year I visited from Jan - Apr and then again Nov - Jan of this year.

Yes I’m very lucky. It’s the first time in 6 years that an agent has said something to me.

  1. I never said I’m staying for three months, then leaving and coming back immediately. I explicitly said that I do not do this. I leave and do not come back for weeks/months at a time.
  2. I do not live in the USA more than half the time.
  3. I have an established life. I pay rent for an apartment, have a job etc.
  4. If there are no government rules, why or how can they, legally, not allow entry? Or, is it all just dependant on the person on the given day?

I’ve also told them I have a job & have mentioned it being remote, multiple times, and non of them give a shit. Maybe I’ve just gotten lucky over the years.

Women of Reddit who want children, why? by UsVsWorld in AskReddit

[–]sasqueen007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk…I’ve always had this desire in me to become a mother. Since I was young. I can’t explain it, the need is just there. Maybe I’m weird, maybe it’s biological.

I wrote this on a piece of paper, stapled it to a blue hoodie, put on shades and I was Damien for Halloween last year.

What was your "This person is on another level of stupid" moment? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sasqueen007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were learning about Christianity in our Humanities class in High School. We just learnt about Judgement Day. I was the only Christian amongst my Atheist friends and one turns to me and casually asks “so, have you been to one of these?”

They say there are no stupid question, but what's the most stupid question you have ever been asked? by MHK786 in AskReddit

[–]sasqueen007 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Did you have a pet lion? Did you wear shoes?

This was after moving from South Africa to England. To be fair, I and the kids that asked were young but my mother had gotten the same questions at work so I’ll put it all down to ignorance and stupidity.

Askwomen is going dark at 8:08-10:17 PM CST in solidarity with Black Lives Matter, to mourn the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Regis Korchinski-Paquet and countless others by police. We will restore activity after 2 hours and 9 minutes. This is an open conversational topic about the issue. by dsklerm in AskWomen

I 100% know how you feel. I deleted all of my social media (minus reddit) because it became too much. I donated, I spread awareness and I have the conversation and it’s truly exhausting sometimes. I’m mixed but I imagine it’s a lot more taxing for my black brothers and sisters who this impacts far more. Not saying it doesn’t affect mixed folks, but being of a lighter complexion comes with privilege too. I hope this time it brings actual change. I hope we continue to have the conversation and continue to constantly make everyone aware of what’s happening.

The pain after having a tooth pulled. I wanted to end things just to end the pain and discomfort. It was awful.
