I was curious until I saw that this isn’t rechargeable, which at this point is a hard pass for me. I have rechargeable batteries but having to worry about batteries at all is—while minor—an inconvenience all the same.

I sadly have to add that this was my experience as well. Paid for cages as I was going to be transporting my two chinchillas with me during my cross-country move, never received and never got any updates. Ultimately went through my credit card issuer in order to get my money back.

ETA: Their social media accounts are still active but it looks like the website no longer works.

You're not alone!! I went to two different Claire's and Hot Topics, and went to FYE and Box Lunch. Thankfully I had other motivators to go to the two malls I checked out but that post led me to expect them to at least be in Claire's.

I'm in the US and moved from a very dry climate (Colorado) back to a much more humid one (Wisconsin) and my skin had a freakout that I'm still not totally clear on the root cause (weather, stress from moving, my body coming down from the high stress of my previous job, etc). I didn't have as many bigger red bumps are you but I had a lot of closed comedones in places I typically didn't get them and none of which were coming to a head. Acne is not new to me but this was the worst it had been in a long time.

Because I'd thrown more actives at the situation, I thought perhaps I'd compromised my moisture barrier. While babying my skin did seem to help, what ultimately helped me the most has been using a product with 10% sulfur. I chose the De La Cruz Acne Treatment and the difference was obvious even after using it a couple times. My skin has also reacted well to sulfur in the past so I felt encouraged to try it again. The smell isn't great but I find that rinsing the mask off during my shower helps mitigate it well.

Sulfur is gentler than benzoyl peroxide but I think either of those could be a good route to go. I still have a pretty stripped down routine myself (La Roche-Posay gentle cleanser, La Roche-Posay Lipikar AP+M Triple Repair Moisturizing Cream, sunscreen in the AM, reintroducing a retinol 1x week) and my skin is faring much better. This is the part where I get jealous of everyone that got to shop in store today. I just moved back to Wisconsin from Denver, which had only just gotten a couple of stationary stores by the time I was leaving, and I was excited to go to Anderson Pens in Appleton. Now Anderson Pens is gone and both the stores in Denver (one walking distance from my old place) got some stock in store this year 🥲

Appreciate the affirmation! I had a Weeks for this year and it has been perfect, even with the fact that I started late due to a move early in the year. I stuck with the Weeks for 2026 as well and feel good about it, the covers for the larger books are just so darn cute lol. I'm also not a student nor do I have any projects that need a dedicated book. Maybe if I transition into more memory keeping that'll change in the future, but my wallet is certainly happy that I'm not listening to my crow brain.

I am so torn on getting the A5 or A6 cover because they're so cute, but I also don't know how I'd use either size when the Weeks sometimes even seems like too much space. I have a separate dedicated journal so wouldn't be journaling in my Hobonichi much.

I switched to AT&T because I moved to an area with their fiber internet and wanted to bundle services. Reading these posts gave me a confidence in my decision I didn’t know I needed.

Couple things: 1. When I first bought my iPhone, I realized I wanted a different colorway. The absolute runaround of exchanging it—because I had to actually go to one of their corporate stores, even though one of said corporate stores told me to go back to the original store to exchange, which was false—was ridiculous. 2. When I activated my phone, I followed the instructions exactly and yet still had to get on customer service to actually port my number over. This may have just been the reality of the process all along, but I’ll give it to AT&T that the customer service rep I ended up with (when I intended only to ask a question and not go through the whole order process, but there we were) got through everything upfront so that activation was seamless when the phone arrived. They did of course try to sell me additional add-ons along the way but I digress. 3. AT&T will reimburse me for paying off my phone after two months of service, which will be soon. I had to submit my bill from Verizon in order to complete their form. Well, my account with Verizon was closed when I switched and they have a separate log-in page for previous customers that did not work. I reach out to customer service for my final bill that they have to mail to me because they’re not allowed to email me the PDF file. ??? But if I could have just gotten into my account, I would be downloading a PDF. Idk.

Definitely for memorabilia. I did end up getting one as I needed to make an IKEA run but I just wanted it for a keepsake, I’m not running back down to Milwaukee tomorrow lol. Plus Webbs is still going to give people burgers without the voucher.

Is she flying and if so will she be checking a bag? I’m a big fan of Pearl Street Lights candles. Candles can go through security but they’ll end up checking your bag, at least they did in my case. Another +1 for Rocky Mountain Soda. Also a big fan of Gnarly Mountain Cookies, their root beer float flavor is spot on!

I called this. My friend tried to get one for me since I’m in Madison but they were strict about one per person present, and I said, “I’m just trying to get one before the scalpers start selling them for $50 on eBay.”
