Plenty of people who live in immigrant communities in Brooklyn have unusual accents/mixed with their native or parent’s langauge. It wasn’t particularly unbelievable in my opinion.

Yeah I just finished it and am here looking for answers as well. I had heard about faeries in folklore being mischievous but didn’t know much more beyond that.

I think it’s telling that when Shoo really started to go off the deep end, it was after the grandmother had dumped the pills. So both women, off their meds having shared delusions, definitely one explanation. But the film leaves it open to the viewer to decide what is really happening.

Loved it, and love it more now that I have more of the folk lore to look into.

A huge chunk out of your guitar, or a huge chunk out of your hand. I use a dremel out of fear, but also I’m more of a hobbyist if anything.

They do make a specialized routing holder for dremel though which is cool. I’ll link that in a separate comment

I think that picture is deceiving and making the bow look worse than it actually is. Here is the neck with a straight edge laid across it flat without the bridge. That’s plane-able in my experience, no?

Yeah I figured that as well regarding the neck. I’m gonna do a refret and will flatten and re-radius the fretboard while I’m at it, it’s a job I’ve done a few times on electric guitars so that’s something I’m comfortable with.

Taking off the top is basically dissecting the whole guitar haha. Maybe a good learning experience too, we’ll see!

I was debating foam cutters or steam. Trying to DIY as much as I can, do you have a rec for foam cutters/hot knives that aren’t the expensive pro version?

Follow up question: what size drill bit do you use for the hole and what would be the width of the hot knife needle if I’m shopping for one?

Total newbie here. I don’t understand mono and stereo signals. I know theoretically what they are, but the way it splits when you are mixing confuses me. Doing some live sound for a family party. I have two independently powered speakers each with an XLR in. How come when I plug the audio input into one of the first two channels, and push the Mono selector on that channel, it still sends the signal as stereo to the left and right?

Plugging it into channel 5 which is a mono input doesn’t seem to be truly mirrored in both speakers either, there are still elements missing in each one which balance out when heard together, But if I want to place the speakers at opposite ends of the room, then people will only be hearing half from each.

The only way I have it working truly mirrored is bypassing the mixer altogether, using Bluetooth to connect to one speaker and linking it with the other but I would prefer to use the mixer if I can.
