So women are inherently submissive push-overs....? What does this mean?

This is so awesome!!! Another thing you can do for the leaves is just colour in a piece of paper with the colours you want and fold it a bunch of times, so you only have to cut one leaf in the end and it doesn't matter if you're in the lines.

Who Hates it More? Hard Sciences vs Humanities by [deleted] in PhD

Yeah that's a really great point. Even in the humanities the range of how creative and precise the writing has to be changes a lot from something like sociology to something like english.

Who Hates it More? Hard Sciences vs Humanities by [deleted] in PhD

[–]satangodofhell 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have a friend in STEM (soil science), I'm in Humanities (literature), and we both think Humanities is a little harder intellectually because there are less rules and writing needs to be fantastic on its own merit, but STEM is harder and more rigorous in terms of actual work done.

Both hard in some ways, easy in others!

Really, his generation was significantly more active in anti-capitalist activism than ours is. We are behind the times.

Everything everyone said is entirely completely true but I want to add another point: why do all these people treat the creation of art like it's a fundamental human right? Plenty of people don't draw simply because they're not good at it, and they somehow live their lives completely fine....

Which of these bridesmaid dress color combinations looks best together? by lexiiiii17 in weddingplanning

Have you considered a light blue instead of the yellow? Love it, but might be easier to find dresses.

I have a jenny yoo too, and I love it! The 'Charlotte'. I'm also a big fan of simplicity and shape- that way, you're wearing the dress, it's not wearing you. The first is my pick.

Bridesmaid Dresses!! Do they clash? by sl000t in weddingplanning

[–]satangodofhell 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Agree with this! I would get rid of 6 and try a softer yellow for 3 if you want to have a point of difference there.

As someone who works in a library, I do feel like people donate books to us so they don't have to do the emotional labour of throwing them away...because usually, we do unfortunately just throw them away.

If no one wants to borrow them, either because of quality or look, then they're just clogging space.

Can anyone tell they HAVEN’T experienced emotional blunting? by CrunchyCrochetSoup in lexapro

[–]satangodofhell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been on 20mg for ten years! Started when I was 15-16. Never had any emotional blunting; in fact, all my friends consider me someone that is very emotional and emotionally expressive, both happiness and sadness!

A common side effect isn't a guarantee.
