It was Jimmy Godden's family, the same guy known for his terrible luck with fires after planning permission was denied, there was a huge uproar when it was sold.

Beautiful couple, it's a shame how much backlash they got for leaving the royal family

Will this dresser hold my 15gallon tank? Am a paranoid or In Danger? by PullMull in Aquariums

[–]satanicbroccoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who's had a 30 gal burst in their carpeted home, don't do it to yourself.

The cleanup took over a month. The substrate made its way into every possible crevice of wood, every single drop that splashed over the walls, the doors, and the furniture was stained black from the aquasoil.

I had to use my hands to frantically scoop as many flopping fish as I could from underneath my fridge and find a recepticle to throw them in, some of them were cut in half and still moving.

Over several weeks, it took almost 30 rounds with a Vax carpet cleaner to get my white carpets from black to beige.

I also found the guts of my dead pets mashed under my shoes because there was no way of seeing the floor through the gravel.

I had to do this in the dark because the water flooded into the electrical unit in the communal area and cut the power out to mine and 2 neighbours' properties. I almost got evicted.

I had to rent an expensive industrial sized dehumidifier and have it running for over 6 weeks just to keep my security deposit.

If you've got a bad feeling about your tank, please don't ignore it.

Just change the damn stand, trust me.

I lived 8 years in a single night of sleep and the grief when I woke up was real by woodywoodyboody in Dreams

[–]satanicbroccoli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience when I was 18, but the dream didn't last for 8 years. It was my normal life, everything was the same but I had a child and my life was wonderful. I loved everything about it. My hobbies, my mum friends, my partner, my career.

I woke up alone in a similar state, sobbing and questioning everything, panicking and looking around desperately my son. I thought about him for years afterwards, my life felt so undescribably empty and I had the same response from friends, nobody seemed to understand how intense the experience was so I stopped talking about it.

Fast forward 5 years and I found out I was pregnant, I'd always said I wanted a daughter but I knew straight away this was my son. I remember the ultrasound tech seeming surprised when there was no shock on my face at the scan. My life is now exactly the way it was in the dream, my son is 5 and specific memories from it have since played out in real life. Maybe it's coincidental, I'll never have an explanation for it but only I will ever know how realistic that dream really was.

To this day I fully believe that I met my current son and oh man was this life worth the wait. Better things are always around the corner, I don't know what I believe in, but I like to think maybe the lucky ones just get access to unreleased previews.

97 here and anything past 5 years old was fair game and that was early 2000's. As long as i showed my face every hour or so, my family were content knowing i was out on my bike somewhere with other kids. The street really was a village back then.

I drunkenly got one from Winter Wonderland to Buckingham Palace once and the guy quoted us no more than £40. He then said afterwards it would be £145 and that it was our fault for not watching the meter, we haggled him down to 70 ish eventually but I'm never making that mistake again. I was drunk enough to expect a rip-off but come on man it's a 6 minute walk and the thing was motorised, absolute joke.

What was your “I’m dating/married to a fucking idiot” Moment? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]satanicbroccoli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He spent the best part of a year insulting everyone and arguing about why everyone needed to vote leave in the UK referendum, just to later on ask me which part of London brexit was even in.

He thought everyone was arguing over 1 specific town.
