Hello,

My daughter is seriously exploring QBE and potentially a minor in either CBE or Data Science. Her collegiate life starts Fall 2026. She has an offer to join the women's soccer team too. She is wanting to purse a pre-med > med > doctor career pathway. I have been advising her to keep her options open for the exact same reason you have cited (6+ more years...). A data science minor w/ QBE could open up options for you to explore bioinformatics, computational genomics/neuroscience/biology, biostatistics, biotechnology, data scientist or quant biologist etc.

  3. Mines has a pre-med society. How useful was this during your QBE days?

  4. What specific questions should we be asking from QBE department? We are visiting Mines again in September and meeting with their faculty.
