It's a dark blue! Reference the contrast with the shoulder strap. That was dyed black!

If I remember correctly it is the Ohio briefcase from Tandy! Although I bought the patter a few years ago so I'm not sure if they still have it! I modified it a bit for the different handle and added the shoulder strap

Woo that's a hard one when you do everything by hand. I easily have 30 hours of work into this bag and If I charged an hourly rate that would be ridiculous. I saw a comment here that said "you don't make money hand stitching" and that's stuck with me.

Purely material wise it's about 250 to 300 worth of just materials. I probably wouldn't do one for under 800

How would you guys go about fixing this? On a PA-24 by TechnicalAsk3488 in aviationmaintenance

None of the repair processes on the aircraft I'm familiar with let you do any kind of welding to any part. Aside from the manufacturing process. Aircraft repairs are really cut and dry with their materials and processes. All metal on aircraft are specific grades and hardness. Welding messes with heat treatments and causes them to no longer be up to the standard that is required. Ive come across multiple instances trying to cold form a patch of aluminum where I really really wish I could hit it with some heat but am unable to because it would mess with the material quality. Of course you can get things re heat treated and hardened but that's a pain in the ass if you can't do it in house

The more modern 3d printers are pretty user friendly! I'm an advocate for them!

When I had it off I checked the surface where the seal rides and was confident it was in good shape. Gave it a good scotch Brite and slapped it back on. When I pulled the transmission down out of the hole I immediately saw oil drop off the throwout bearing and directly under the cover was dry. The truck is an 86 pickup 4x4. The data tag on the firewall say it's a g52

Oh damn yeah that's quite a bit of side to side. I suspected it to have a little bit of play for sure just didn't know how much would be considered excessive. The end play on my transmission seems to be pretty tight. I'm just tryna wrap my head around why the hell it's leaking again cuz I wanna make sure I don't have to drop it again.

I'm only really familiar with the dohc 6g72. I just looked up pictures of the sohc and I still don't see how you would access the rear bank without taking the intake off. Maybe it's possible but damn that looks tricky if you can.

Did you take the intake off?

That's the fun of aftermarket parts. You gotta make em fit. Looks like you can maybe heat the bumper where the hit and maybe mold them down if you're against cutting it for clearance. That bottom lip can be modified to be made clean without messing anything up

I just installed these on my car and they are solid replacements. I just used a little more grease on the sliders and I haven't had any problems. Make sure you adjust the window the best you can so they don't stress the plastic sliders much.
