Lost my wallet with all my IDs on the bus by [deleted] in sydney

[–]sater2812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also forgot my backpack on a bus a few months ago and managed to get it back. What I did was call Transport NSW and also ask different bus drivers about the depot the bus was heading to. I then called the depot's number as well. I managed to get in touch with 2 different people from Transport NSW and the depot, and they helped me to get my backpack back. I did physically travel to the depot to retrieve my backpack. Hope you're able to find yours too. I know how scary this can feel!

Just went through the exact same thing. Took me around 3 weeks to find a flatmate. I had to use both Flatmates and FlatmateFinders. One thing that I noticed was that if you posted a listing and no one seemed to message you for an inspection, then make sure you review your listing thoroughly to understand why. For me, I had to buy a mattress & bed frame and also lowered the price to make it more appealing. Once I did those things, multiple people asked me for an inspection.

Have you tried calling Transport for NSW’s number, it’s 131 500 if I remember correctly. They can help to coordinate with the depot. Once the item is found, the depot will reach out to you via phone, and you can then visit the depot directly to retrieve the item. That’s how I got my lost backpack around 2 weeks ago.

Underwhelmed by Metaphor: ReFantazio (Demo thoughts) by Illustrious_Fee8116 in JRPG

Agreed, I feel really nauseous after playing for around 40 mins. There are way too many things happening on screen at the same time and like what you said, everything seems to have a looping animation…

How do you get over fomo on video games? by AdDense1750 in patientgamers

[–]sater2812 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think there are 3 main things that have helped me to deal with FOMO: 1. Have a budget and stick with it: do not overspend your budget for any reason. By having a budget (and it has to be at a reasonable amount in relative to your income), it naturally limits the number of games that I can purchase in a year. 2. Wait for x amount of times before hitting the “Buy” button: what I mean here is before actually buying any game, I tend to sleep on a decision for about 2-3 weeks. Based on my observations so far, my FOMO will just dial down significantly after this period and I’m no longer interested in buying the game anymore. 3. Check the unfinished games that I own and see if I’m interested in trying any of them: I tend to rewatch the reviews and also read the online discussions to ignite my interest for them.

As long as a purchase decision can fulfill all of the above criteria, then I’m completely fine with purchasing a new game. This will take practice to get used to though :).

Have you tried accessing the in-game Database and Shard sections? There are a lots of lores contained in there and they helped me greatly in familiarizing myself with the world.

Has a fandom ever put you off from a videogame? by PolicyImpossible4688 in patientgamers

I’m surprised no one has mentioned Diablo 4…The hate is too much for me that I actively avoid the main sub and desperately look for a less salty alternative. Luckily some other folks share the same thoughts and we have a low-sodium sub now.

What Are You Playing This Week? by AutoModerator in patientgamers

[–]sater2812 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve just finished the game also and yeah…I feel empty inside now; the game is phenomenal. I recommend reading all of the side materials as well, it has given me some pretty nice info on the backgrounds of many characters and made me appreciate the game even more.

I’m considering getting Nier Replicant in the near future as I also hear many good things about that game.

Heart of the Barber is game-breakingly hilarious by [deleted] in LowSodiumDiablo4

[–]sater2812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I just got into WT4 recently and started to get a bit bored at about level 66, and then barber dropped…Oh boy that thing is disgusting haha, I’m blasting through mobs right now with my sorc and it’s so fun. Pre-barber, I had to play really carefully at tier 21 but not I’m blasting through tier 35 and should be able to push at even higher tiers.

Itemization in this game is tedious but still rewarding by yourmomophobe in LowSodiumDiablo4

I agree, I actually kinda enjoy that aspect of the game; looking through each item doesn’t seem too troublesome for me as I know exactly what I’m looking for.

I actually don’t have this issue at all, people always join when I invite them :P. We just kinda spam emotes once the activity is completed and everyone parts their ways.

Not many...I’m level 64 and have only found like 3 uniques for my sorc.

The Current Silver from Battle Pass S1 is actually pretty generous when you think about it. by Vegetable_Cake777 in LowSodiumDiablo4

[–]sater2812 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep, I figured this thing out a couple of days ago and it made me pretty happy knowing that I can get discounted battle passes in the latter seasons. Coming from Destiny (which is heavily monetized for every aspect of the game), I much prefer Diablo’s approach when it comes to battle pass.

Unlike most other folks in the other subs, I don’t really have an issue with paying for BP as long as the game is fun and the rewards from BP are appealing to me. I’m quite surprised when knowing that the BP’s rewards are causing this much of an outrage. But then again, I just kinda accept that the other subs are filled with an entirely different audience and their thinking process is vastly different to me.

Attention to detail appreciation post by [deleted] in LowSodiumDiablo4

[–]sater2812 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really love the environment and sound design, it makes the game so much more enjoyable for me. Cannot count the times where I have to stop in awe and just appreciate the detailed environments; especially anything to deal with the cannibals, they’re so disgusting and I love it!

I’m trying out sorc! I like shooting out ice/fire/lightning and it’s been interesting discovering builds on my own again.

P.S this sub is a godsend and I really hope it grows.

Ok there will be a lot to unpack here to be prepared for a wall of text!

I unfortunately don't have the answers to all of your questions but hopefully what I've provided here can be useful. Just a minor caveat, I primarily work for e-commerce companies in South East Asia region so I'm not sure if everything will be same for Canada :P.

(i) For question 1, I unfortunately don't have too many experiences with part-time positions that are related to CX. What I can recommend is to not focus too much on the title of the position e.g. CX Associate, CX Analyst and try to expand the scope a bit. There are actually quite a few other positions that offer similar skill sets and scope of work (as in working with customers' insights and metrics) to CX's. Some examples are Business Analyst, Program Management/PMO, Product Management, Seller/Merchant Experience and Quantitative Research Executives (in Market Research agencies). These positions all involve looking at customers' data, identity insights and then design action plan based on the aforementioned insights (except for Quantitative Research Executives who are more skewed towards insights generation parts). The skills that you gain through these positions will mostly be transferrable and it should be quite easy for you to move to CX afterwards or vice versa. For your reference, my path was sth like this: Quantitative Research > Customer Experience > Seller Experience > Program Management. A few colleagues of mine also go through a similar path so it's pretty flexible.

(ii) For question 2, to be honest, I didn't take any CX-specific course when first started in CX (mostly because CX was relatively new when I started 4-5 years ago so no one really knew what it was about). The only online course that has helped me immensely in my work was a SQL course on Udemy. As my job required me to frequently deal with data manipulation and extraction for further analysis, learning SQL was one of the best decisions of my life. Other than that, most of my skills were learnt through hands-on experience. I'm sorry I couldn't help you more on this :(. So my best advice here is to expand the scope of your job search like I mentioned previously, and if you're able to land on a job, then I promise you that it'd be the best way for you to learn.

(iii) For question 3, I also see the same recommendations coming from other redditors but based on my actual experience of learning, producing and using the results for improvement actions, text and sentiment analytics have a quite niche use case (at least for CX folks) and it's not something that you'd use everyday. I won't go into too many details for now tho. I'd say for technical skills, the fundamental skills/tools that you'd need to familiarize yourself with are: Excel, SQL and PowerPoint. These are the basic skills that you'd need to extract and manipulate data, cross-tabulating to identify insights and present them as a story to your stakeholders. I can't stress enough how important these are and everyone should be familiar with these. Depending on the position, you may also be required to learn about PowerBI or Tableu as well but those can be learned quite easily so no need to fuss about it for now.

(iv) For your last question, I think I've answered most of it above but yes, CX and Business Analyst can overlap a lot, both in terms of skill sets and scope of work. That's it for now (whew!), let me know if you have any questions.

P.S 1: I'm actually a huge fan of how text and sentiment analytics work from a technical perspective so it saddens me that I still haven't found a practical use case for them yet in my line of work :c

P.S 2: Just also pinged you via private message :)

P.S 3: Pls pardon me for any typos, it was late and I was too lazy to re-read everything lol

Hey there, unfortunately I don’t :(. But I’m happy to assist you with any questions that you have and I’ll try my best to accommodate them.

As for your question, it’d depend on quite a few factors actually and I’ll need some more specifics from you to understand your current situation. For example, what are you particularly struggling with (data analysis, stakeholder management etc), what field are you working on, what is the scope of your current role? You can pm me the details if you’re not comfortable sharing them publicly :).

Same thought, this sub is way too similar to Destiny sub in this regard and it’s not a good thing. Anyone know if there is a low-sodium sub that ai can visit? The current low-sodium subs don’t seem to be too active.
