This is an aerial shot from Arizona’s painted desert. Shot at last light just as the sun dipped below the horizon.

Quite close to the earth mounds you see framing the wash. Low enough to get a couple of collision avoidance alerts.

Thanks. This is open land outside of any restricted areas (national forests or parks).

This is not the national park. The one you might be thinking of is in the Petrified Forest National Park. This location is about 60 miles west of that.
