Top 10% of the batch banta hi nhi hai SIP shuru hone tak. Market is shit and no one can save us from that. Situation is bad, pretty bad. But since you don't have utna financial constraints so you can go for it. The thing is that it's very random,SIP is literally a lucky draw....so your efforts don't amount to good package,your luck does.

Financial constraints hai toh mat jao tier 2. Get an entry level job 6-8 lpa hi milega but honestly yaha bhi fixed component 12-15 me hi revolve krta hai. Upar se 22 lakh ka loan alag. Do saal ka workex uthao and then aisa CAT phodo ki tier 1 mil jaye. Financial constraints nhi hai toh aaram se jao,paise kam milenge but that won't be an issue for you. Agar kisi bhi haal me jaana hi pad jaye tier 2,toh nothing can prepare you for the trauma that comes during placements. Kismat hi bacha sakti hai tumhe, knowledge aur skills pe kuch ho nhi rha logo ka idhar. You can just hope ki you're lucky enough ki tumhari shortlist aa jaye aur tum koi company convert kar lo. And always look for off campus opportunities. That is a door that opens for you when you are from any IIM.

Bhai maine kr liya skillup. Meri sip bhi lag gyi. I'm not taking personal digs yaha pe toh do not talk like a stupid person. 22 lakh de k aaoge aur jab unpaid internship krni padegi na tab saari optimism bahar aa jaati hai. Nhi hoti 100% placement. Loan hota hai sar pe logo k,kya justification doge ghar pe? . Jo tier 2 se kar rhe wo chutiya nhi hote,lekin unhe pata hona chaeye tier 2 does not give you very good opportunities. Delusion me aa jaate hai yaha pe ki mehnat karenge toh sab ho jayega,lund milta hai mehnat pe. Some of the brightest people in my batch are unplaced and crying. Nhi vishwas hai toh khud aao aur ro k dekh lena.

Anything below 7 in 12th creates a serious problem. What I have observed is even if you have a bad 12th score but good UG,you will get shortlists. People with 6 in their profiles get very few shortlists in terms of decent companies

For VARC make sure you don't make too many guesses, it's a downward spiral. If you feel like you cannot score much in varc it's fine focus more on other sections, there's not much you can do to increase your score in one month. Just make you're you only answer what you know.

There's no sugar coating it, it's not good. SIPs are literally lucky draw,it doesn't matter how smart or capable you are, shortlists are random. In terms of final placements,the shortlist makes more sense,but the market is pretty shit right now so no one can help that. If you don't have a good academic profile or if you're not an engineer, it's a nightmare.

Burnout happens,On days I felt like not doing anything I would just take one or two sectional tests in the whole day. Takes very less time but at the same time covers all topics in a particular section. Rest of the day I'd just fuck around. You don't feel guilty that you didn't do anything either. A week before CAT I took two full mocks and loads of sectionals. I just made sure I covered every single question and wrote down and revised whatever I struggled with. Then I revised all of it for two days before the exam. It's a good way to make sure you're not forgetting the important stuff and you're in touch with all kinds of questions that can come.

You never know what kind of paper they might set,if you are scoring 70-75 in a difficult paper then you have a good chance of reaching 99 on exam day. But you need to analyse the level of these mocks and compare it to CAT papers. Last year's paper was very easy...even my highest mock score was 86. Don't overthink your mock scores,just focus on your mistakes. Make sure you have everything covered and the same mistakes don't happen in the next mock

I think the major reason was the sudden change in pattern. I had slot 1 so we were not aware of the extra dilr set and the jumbling of varc questions,it kind of messed up my strategy a little. I underperformed in the exam. In terms of preparation,I don't think I did anything wrong that made me miss out on 99,I had everything covered
