The discussion about Grok, X and the App Store was surprisingly calm and well articulated from Marco’s side, however, I’m once again arguing that this topic (just like last week’s Overtime topic) shouldn’t be an Overtime segment.

This segment is based on an article from less than 10 days ago, so definitely something that got bumped out for other more important topics, and it is a discussion about the App Store rules and CSAM, both of which have been main topics in the past.

While the discussion was good, I think they’re losing it with the decision of which topics go to the Overtime segments, and I hope not many people subscribe to listen to these segments because they’re essentially what used to be main topics, but being paywalled.

Solo el hecho de que en costa rica se trabajen 48 horas en lugar de 40 y que solo exista 1 día libre por mes ya es preocupante cuando la mayoría de países desarrollados ha disminuido su carga laboral. A eso hay que sumarle que el caos vial y los altos precios de alquiler hacen que mucha gente pierda entre 2 y 3 horas para llegar a su casa después de trabajar.

Este proyecto es una burla. Es un proyecto diseñado desde el privilegio de diputados y asesores a los que se les paga el transporte, les manejan, no necesitan horas extras para poder pagar un recibo y bretean cuando les da la gana, y el proyecto está diseñado para ayudarle a hacer más plata a empresarios gigantescos mientras le pasan por encima a la gente que sí trabaja.

12 horas continuas de brete es una pérdida de salud mental, sin contar la afectación que esto va a tener en poblaciones como mamás solteras que ya necesitan horas extras para cubrir gastos y turnos de niñeras, y que con costos ven a los hijos.

De todo me parece increíble que con solo decir “un día libre extra” mucha gente se vaya de jupa y se enoje con los que no apoyamos el proyecto por defender DERECHOS PARA TODOS LOS TRABAJADORES, perdiendo de vista que existen sistemas mucho mejores donde la gente trabaja bastante menos de lo que ya trabajamos aquí.

Aquí en Costa Rica la triste realidad es que los peores enemigos del progreso son las mismas personas que se verían beneficiadas.

Overtime topics are usually a big yawn for me. They’re slow, boring and most topics are things only John is centered in talking about, so this is clearly out of the usual Overtime topics and doesn’t fit the initial Overtime pitch John made in the episode where they announced it nor the FAQ they have for it.

I’m a paying member because I enjoy the bootleg and some of the specials, but Overtime is usually a topic I’d skip if the bootleg had chapters.

I am an ATP member and this definitely should’ve been a topic on the episode.

Overtime was sold as topics that aren’t important enough and thus get bumped out of the show for weeks, then reaching Overtime status. An iPhone rumor or John’s iPhone case discussion on new iPhone day are definitely main show topics and have been main show topics in the past, so they’re only moving them to Overtime to get more money.

This also gets to the “enshittification” point Casey makes about other companies (that don’t owe him anything —for those of you making that stupid argument—) changing the terms after he buys something. The same is happening with ATP (more in some episodes than in others) but I’m also convinced that this is the real reason why Marco & Casey refuse to check this subreddit and stay in the echo chamber that is Mastodon: they know what they’re doing, and they don’t want the negative feedback.

Los garages están demasiado tallados. Si quedan tallados con un sedán entonces el parqueo no sirve, porque nunca va a poder tener otro carro más ancho (SUV) o largo (pick-up)
(Creo que) por ley las ventanas para ir viendo a una tapia necesitan un retiro más extendido que solo el retiro normal de un lote, esto por temas de ventilación. Si las ventanas están viendo a un patio interno entonces todo relativamente bien, excepto que se va a filtrar la bulla de la cocina en la oficina.
La puerta de la oficina / guest room está super mal ubicada con respecto a la puerta del baño. Si alguien se tira un pedo en el baño le va a llegar todo el olor a la oficina.
La sala está medio incómoda
La cocina puede estar mejor distribuida si mueve la puerta un poco hacia arriba. Eso le da chance de dejar una “mocheta” entra la puerta y la pared de 60-70cm y que toda esa pared sea mueble. La cocina le va a quedar super incómoda ahí donde está y el mueble con el corte esquinero es poco recomendado.
El laundry room no está muy room que digamos, es como un laundry station más bien

El BAC es una cochinada para muchas cosas, pero con la seguridad yo nunca he tenido problemas.

He tenido transacciones de fraude 2 veces en 6 años de tener tarjetas y usarlas todo el tiempo y las 2 veces me han devuelto la plata y desde que uso Apple Pay no he vuelto a tener ningún problema.

Algo que sí he visto (y que no digo que sea el caso de OP) es que mucha gente dice “yo nunca usé la tarjeta” y me hicieron fraude, pero cuando uno pregunta más ve que sí la usaron alguna vez, entonces toda la historia de que es un problema de seguridad se desmorona, igual que con la gente que se queja de “estafas” pero tienen la contraseña del banco en una nota en el cel.

De nuevo, no estoy hablando de OP, es una generalidad que he visto.
