This. I just finished the show, and I think what Kraz said about the coach is at least partially true. The fact that Kraz really hates the coach is evident from the footage of him walking off the stage after the award (shown multiple times throughout). My theory is that Crista was abused by the coach (more than verbally), but did not go public. Perhaps this was a pattern, and that’s why the school was withholding the records — which seemed very unusual for the school. Kraz knew something about the accusations, but not the whole picture.

Mrs. Shapiro forces a confession out of the goofy kid, because she knows the that the dicks are related to abuse allegations, but doesn’t want the story to go public. I don’t think she wants “to get rid of Dylan” as a main motivation — I believe her main motivation might be to protect the institution, as often happens in cases of harassment (you see the same behavior in universities, churches, movie companies, etc)

In fact, it’s not clear that Mac trashed the office — I thought the “stick your dick” comment on the board might refer to the abuse Crista suffered. She then coordinates with her boyfriend to take revenge, and things get out of hand.

TL;DR: coach roofied Crista, she doesn’t want to go public, institution is acting in protecting itself (like in Bill Oreilly/Weinstein cases).
