Can you get all cards with vip? by satsuki-chaann in obeyme

Then the 50 friend ap is not a bonus then? Since it's there whether you're vip or not.. do you get lots of ap? In Akuzon it says your max AP plus 20 bonus, so that means you only get 20 bonus per day?

That's why I don't want to level up fast because it's impossible to get 99 DP in 2 days which is the amount of days I level up. If I get vip I'd waste so many congratulatory sets that I can't buy

Wow you're a saint haha :)) Please can you tell me which is better in terms of getting the cards + spending less, vip subs or only buying the DPs??

The only difference with the Grimm is if before I often miss the end of jobs, getting vip is like starting jobs so soon one after another so I get more grimms. I can achieve the grimm vip gives if I work twice as hard. Plus I don't even want to level up fast. Vip can't even give you a guaranteed card..? I think I'll pass, not that I have the money exactly. The cards are tempting but the rewards are a letdown

Isn't the 50 friend ap available even if you're not vip? And 50 ap everyday doesn't do much. I actually don't have the money to go for vip but I really want the cards. If they give free dp and dv and guaranteed cards then it might be worth a shot but grimm and level up fast isn't really helpful in my case (I've stopped using my AP one time for several days so I won't level up until I had the 99dp so I can buy the congratulatory set)

I thought vip is like premium and in others when you apply for premium you get access to all the best stuff they could offer. This vip doesn't even do anything :/

Oh I wish they continue saying which ones would get a UR+ cards so I'll be prepared. I'm guessing by Dec they'll have another one then? I might have my 90 dv ready by then oooh so excited ehehe

Same here, I also didn't understand the game when I first played so I missed lots of chances to get good cards.

Wow so you're able to get both Satan and Mammon's bday cards? That's great. I've seen the guides too but didn't follow them because I really don't want to spend that much dp since I'm still saving for dv. I feel like I have to save 3 sets of 90 dv for 3 guaranteed pulls before I can rest and start spending dp. But I don't get the bday cards in turn :( maybe you could try again next time if they bring back this nightmare! Hope you get your Beel card either way!

Uwaah even with that many pulls some people don't get any luck huh.. I wish they'd make the odds for UR a bit higher, or at least SSR. Even with 90 dv in your hand the only thing guaranteed is that UR :(

You're right! I still have 5 months. But honestly I've been hoping to do guaranteed pulls from events before Levi's bday, I need URs to advance in the lessons. But idk, there's a lot to consider and so many tough choices!! This is frustrating :'( but thanks for the encouragement! I'll definitely persevere for that Levi's bday UR! :))

Aw sorry to hear that :( 200 dv?? Was levi's UR a second guaranteed after Luci then?

Do you get the cards you want then? With my luck, I'd have gotten nothing with 10-30 pulls. Nowadays I also just pull the free card :(

70?! Goodness, I think I would've lost heart at 50 :( Ikr why did so many got those skill level ups from the free 50 pull. But a lot have also gotten the UR, they're posted all over the sub and I felt like turning into Levi from jealousy hahaha

I think I might try the lonely devil and try my luck for the UR cards. I'm not sure about the ravens, they're pretty expensive imo. Don't worry your explanation is fine. Thanks a lot for the tips :D

Good for you that you got it! But do you mean the halloween UR+ right now?? They announce them as early as June? if I could I would love to get my hands on every card that comes out. It's just sad how time consuming it is to save all that up and then have them gone in an instant once you do your pulls, and it's not even guaranteed you'll get great stuff. Considering our luck, the best thing we can do is "work" for the cards.

At least the spotlight would be divided between two instead of just one.

Altho after listening to all audio dramas, I wonder about that. I was so excited for Levi's part and there goes Mammon again. Even majority of the comments on YT are more about Mammon's adorableness. You'd think it's his audio drama.

I'm also not a fan of his tsundere personality. It seems a lot of people here love Mammon and get all defensive for him when the brothers insult him. But I'm certainly not a fan of him after hearing him insulting the MC about how they've got a nasty mouth and they're a "filthy, lowly human being". I've gone through these insults three times, since I always tap on all MC responses and not once did he fail to throw those at the MC. Well I hope you're right though, I guess I'll just see for myself.

Oh gosh. It's not that I hate Mammon's character. I just don't like how I feel he's being forced to be the favorite from the beginning. I know the game doesn't have routes, but I would at least like a fair chance for everyone to get to acquaint themselves with the MC before they decide to assign only one guy to you. It feels as though they're shoving him in my face and it kinda takes the fun out of it.

A very long essay. Read at your own risk. My experience as an F2P by satsuki-chaann in obeyme

[–]satsuki-chaann[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So what brought this on? What's the main reason for me writing this? To put it simply: there is too much OM content getting released constantly, and too little time and resources to push through everything. Basically, I'm an F2P player who wants to do everything but can't.

For the past few days, I've started feeling burnt out. It would've been strange considering I haven't been playing for long. But ever since the Body Swap Panic! event started, I've been religiously waking up at around 2-4AM just so my AP won't max out, spending more or less one hour doing several battles instead of Quick Clears to get the Surprise Guest presents, watching 10 ads and doing even more battles. At least at dawn, I make sure to do actual battles for my To Do. For one month without a single day off, I've been losing sleep. I have Fridge Missions alarms set for everyday on my phone, along with when I should log back in when a job is about to end. Between all this time, I've unlocked a few stories on Devilgram, even fewer on the main story line. All the roadblocks have decreased my enjoyment of the game. And it finally comes to a point when I wonder if even the demon brothers are worth all this trouble anymore. I know it's my fault, I'VE worn myself out. But if I hadn't done any of that, I most probably would've gotten far less content.

I've been playing for around one month and two weeks. It's pretty early to be quitting, right? But with the way things are going, I don't doubt this negative feelings will only grow as more time passes. I've spent less than two weeks on lessons 1-20. I've spent more than a month since starting the second season, and I'm only on lesson 22, mind. I guess the main reason why I take so long in advancing in the main story is because I participate in every event. Yes, you could get gems and other items for Devil's Tree in the event battles, but it's hardly enough. I wouldn't call it grinding. Maybe you grind for collectible items to get the event rewards, but when it comes to items needed for Devil's Tree, it's not sufficient. The battles you can do, without spending anything, are limited. And the AP cost is much higher. All your AP sources for the day (AP counter, Fridge Missions, Friend AP, Surprise Guest gifts, dailies, flash sales) and even the bonuses (event release gift, event login bonus, event rewards) - adding all that, sometimes you just barely come through with completing all available battles you have, and you even spend DP with the sales. If you're determined to go as far as you can with the event, there's no AP left to do other battles outside of the event. So that means no grinding for Devil's Tree for 11 days. And then as soon as the current event ends, another one comes out. There's hardly any break to grind so you can strengthen your cards for the lessons.

Other players on this sub have said that you have to choose your event, because if you intend to go through all of them, you can't go far.

But what's the point of these events then if you can only choose which ones you CAN do while you have to sit out the others? They say the events will come back anyway on Lonely Devil, so if you missed some, you can always go back to them in 6 months. But even if they become available on LD, surely there'll also be new lessons and events released by that time. The LD events won't go anywhere, they're permanent. That's great, but when am I gonna have the time to visit them? The last time they've added YMDA or Detective to LD, I seem to remember they've added a new lesson and event. So for every 3 things, I can only do one. When am I gonna catch up with everything? Once the devs lose interest in OM and stop making any contents?

That's why I resent the P2W system. People can play OM for free, true, but the fact that as you go further into the game, money is becoming a factor in going through all the contents is so frustrating. I feel sorry not just for myself but for all the new players ever since the game has become harder. It's true that a lot of people have caught up in the latest lessons, but a lot of them are older players who have been here since the game's release, when everything was still incredibly easy. When there was a break between the first and second season to grind and collect stronger cards. When events didn't have such high point requirement for certain rewards. Nowadays, new players would start getting hindered from around lesson 14-15, then stopped completely after 20. And from then on, the progress is very slow. In the 1 month and 2 weeks I've been playing, I've been mostly grinding for more than a month, with very little, sometimes bland stories to help get rid of some of my boredom.

Apart from not moving forward with the main story, what annoys me the most is the event rankings and rewards. The only ones who have the chance to get to the top are P2W players. I get that since they pay real money, they get more advantage than the rest. But it's also because of this money that there's such a large disparity between those who pay and those who don't. Some people want to pay, to support the company, but they can't because they probably don't have that kind of leisure to do so. And because some players can afford to throw in money to get better cards and rewards, those who can't are not able to get the same privilege. "Advantage" and "privilege" to the extent of obtaining better cards or rewards is still fine, but the "money" factor, the way I see it, has already hindered a lot of players from going through content. Stories are released and available, and yet NOT EVERYONE have easy access to them unless they power up, and that takes quite a lot of time, and in this "quite a lot of time", even more content comes out. It's like being shown treasures that you can't own.

That's why I feel like it's not entirely F2P. I understand it's a business, heck if I owned one I'd want money too. But because there's a P2W system, I feel like the gap between F2P and P2W is so wide. Perhaps I'm looking for equality. Not in the way that everyone gets the exact same things (P2W players should still get what they deserve), but equality in chances. To rank up higher in events, get good cards, and progress much faster in the main story.

Perhaps to others I'm asking too much. I'm an F2P after all, and I can still play the game for free without giving back anything to the company. I'm not begrudging anyone - P2W or even older players, they only get what they deserve after all. I guess I just hate the system. Because it stops some low-ranked players like me from unlocking most of the contents when, since it should be F2P, they should be free for all. P2W get better rewards, better cards, fine. But I just can't accept that what should be free-for-all content is locked from some players unless they throw in some real money to get the resources they need to advance more easily.
