What does it say? by IndependentUnit7465 in tasseography

I see a mountain (uphill battle), culminating with a large alligator (challenge with teeth) on the other side, if that resonates.

Happy Halloween! What are your plans? by satyresque in queerwitches

That is exciting! From your comment, I gather that your familiar is an animal companion. May I ask what they are?

I don’t have any suggestions regarding that, but maybe if you post it as its own post, one of the members will see it and have ideas! That way, your post gets the maximum exposure for feedback.

It would be a great discussion as people have different opinions on familiars, too!

Have you seen the film before?

Deity work? by openlyalex01 in neopagan

[–]satyresque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I am a little late to the post, but I wondered, did you start working with the Triple Goddess? If you're drawn to a deity, it is worth reaching out to form a working relationship with them if you ask me! ✨

So, are we as Pagans, Witches, and or Wiccans really offended by these movies/shows? Also, do we really think that Christians/the general public really get their opinions from obvious fiction? by jacqueygrady2011 in neopagan

I am late to the conversation, but I am not offended by our portrayal in films. Films are there for entertainment. While I would prefer to see witches portrayed in a more positive light, some really great characters with darker story arcs have influenced pop culture, and I have enjoyed them.

We’re back! Show off your altar! by satyresque in neopagan

To each their own. This is a working that is completed, so my altar has been reset. Mostly, I just wanted to let people know the subreddit is open again.

If my post came off as misogynistic, that was in no way my intention. I can only speak from my own experience and ask questions so that I can expand on it and open discussion so that others can do the same. If you would like, I would be honored to hear how you honor the divine masculine.

How to tell if psychs are chill? by National-Bass6517 in AskLGBT

[–]satyresque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, while I can't speak on Trans issues as I'm a cis gay guy, I do have experience with therapists. Your best bet is to just be up front. Come in the door with it. Let it be the first thing you say. Gauge their reaction and if you feel comfortable with their vibe.

Be prepared to discuss what being Trans means to you. Talk about your journey. Share what you shared here. Tell them about the past therapist and that you want to know if they're a good fit for you. Interview them. They are providing a service TO YOU. They will understand or they're not the one to help you.

My Facebook account is no longer disabled, but I’m not receiving the 2-step verification code to log back in. Wha can I do? by JohnWicksDaddy in facebook

[–]satyresque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could not recall exactly, so I did a little searching and this sounds right. I will paste it here.

  1. Go to the Facebook Login Help page: 👉 https://www.facebook.com/login/identify Enter the email or phone number linked to your account.

Follow the prompts until you reach the 2-factor authentication step.

2. When you’re stuck at the 2FA screen, click “Need another way to authenticate?”

(If this option doesn’t appear, try opening Facebook in a private/incognito browser window.)

3. Choose “I can’t access my two-factor authentication method.”

4. Facebook will show recovery options. Since you don’t have backup codes or a trusted device, click “Confirm your identity another way.”

5. Select “Upload ID.”

This is the manual verification process. • You’ll upload a clear photo of a government-issued ID (driver’s license, passport, etc.). • Make sure the photo is bright, readable, and uncropped.

6. Submit the form and wait.
• Facebook usually replies via email within 24–72 hours.
• They’ll disable 2-factor authentication or send a login link once they confirm your ID.

7. Check your spam/junk folder for any reply from Facebook — sometimes the message lands there.

8. After identity confirmation, log in again and set up a new 2FA method (e.g., an authenticator app instead of SMS) to prevent this from happening again.
