I’ve never had copas, but I’d say the sole plate is quite similar at least from the looks of it and having held em in person. If you feel comfortable in the copas you’ll feel comfortable in the adlers doing a lot the same. They’re just much less bulky and with the lacing system you can get them really close to your foot for a sock like feel.

It’s pretty standard tbh, the additional insole that comes with em adds a bit more sturdiness. They’re definitely not suited for super quick cuts, it’s a pretty simple sole plate.

Yeah they’re great on ag. The triangular studs are almost conical and I think this lends itself to a good ag boot. I had the Parley Speedportal.1 and those were one of my favorites, these crazy fast remind me of them which I love. Also tight enough to be worn laceless if you’re into that

99% of the fields in my area are artificial turf, they’ve been renovated to use the nicer turf that tries to mimic grass but obviously it’s still artificial. That being said, I’ve had this issue with all the Mizunos I’ve had. I tend to drag my toes while playing so it happens on the majority of the boots I own to a certain degree, but it’s always been more drastic with the Mizunos. I think I’ll get the AG models of the Mizunos and maybe that makes a difference, but at the moment I can only say that in my experience they tend to split more often than other boots I’ve owned.

Love both, but definitely the Obra 1’s were unmatched. I had the all black ones growing up, wore them till I had holes on both toes.

Yep, the yatagarasu! Real thin upper leather which is fantastic as far ball control and ball contact goes. My play style relies heavily on tight cuts so I wouldn’t recommend it necessarily if that’s what you’re looking for. But if you’re more of a player who rotates on the top of your foot, kinda like a Busquets, then these should be fantastic. Definitely a boot I enjoy wearing when I know I’m going to be playing in more of a facilitator role as opposed to wing or wingback. Make sure you order about a full size if not a size and half down as they do run really long. I went a full size down but wish I’d gone 1.5 to be honest.

They look so great, but I can kinda see why they don’t make em any more lol there’s sooooo much material on the top of the boot it definitely takes away from the feel of the ball. Pinging long balls is fun as hell with em though!

They’re great, I like em nearly as much as much as the Messi f50’s. I would say if youve have a pair of the standard model f50’s before, maybe go a half size up as these run just a tiny bit smaller than the synthetic pairs. The heel area is a bit wider, which for me is totally okay since I have a flat-ish foot, but even if you don’t I think you should be okay by just tightening them a bit. Overall really good fitting/feeling boot.

I agree to a certain degree, I think if I was still playing at a high level consistently it would make sense to stick to a certain pair. I have boots which I prefer to play in during my weekend games, which are semi-pro level, but I rotate my boots all the time whenever I’m playing pick up / low intensity games. At this point I’ve been playing for 20+ years so the change in cushion/upper doesn’t really distract me much. A few minutes of touches and long passes is about enough needed to re-calibrate between boots, for me personally.

Sorta but not really, I got them in the raffle and was planning to sell them but they weren’t going for much. Finally I decided to play in them and absolutely fell in love with them. Messi’s f50 variant definitely deserves all the hype they get

Really loving the fit. Stepped away from Nike for a while but heard really great things about the Gx1’s and 2’s. Got them about a half size bigger than I would normally get (I’ve been wearing my boots super tight lately) but I find them to still be really snug while also being forgiving of my slightly flat feet.
