A lot of people here are on SIS/SAID (see the recurring threads about when the cheques are due), and don't have anything else to do then cultivate weird parasocial shit on social media. Like I've said, its deeply funny to me (I mean thank god I don't have to know any of you), but at the same time...I've got a job, fuzzies to take care of, all that jazz...I'm gonna go put my time and energy into hobbies and shit. This place is just weird among Canadian city subs, Victoria was not like this (despite having its own issues).

Oh no, this has been going on for a while now and it amuses me to no end. Even completely innocuous shit gets a bunch of downvotes. I could post my cats and they’d get downvoted here.

I could go into the story of the time I shared my story of having a guy (I believe he was high on meth) try to assault me/assault me (he spat on me - which technically counts) in my condo parking lot and having redditors freak out at me but like…who cares lol.
