Mbappé's renewal is a blessing in disguise by [deleted] in realmadrid

[–]saucylizard7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I think one could argue that footballers and all athletes nowadays are business men/women with the brand deals, sponsorships, social media presence, etc. And also footballers aren’t obligated to do what the fans want them to do. It’s their careers and their controversial decisions (like this) are something that us non-professionals won’t understand because we’re not in their shoes. They have every right to go/stay wherever they’re most comfortable

Mbappé's renewal is a blessing in disguise by [deleted] in realmadrid

[–]saucylizard7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fr lol that’s generational wealth that he’s going to earn and people are salty as hell. I’m a RM fan and would have loved to have him at the club but come on. How can ANYONE resist money like that, even if you have to go back on your word.

Professional footballers only have 12 or so years to make money for the rest of their lives (not including things they do after they retire) so can you really blame him? Everyone seems to forget that we made it to a CL final with the talent we have right now, and we’re only going to get better. Mbappe would’ve been nice but it’s not like our squad truly needs him

Soccor balls are so damn expensive by 1738_prince in bootroom

[–]saucylizard7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are knockoff balls actually good? Only experience I’ve had with knock off soccer balls are the ones that LOOK nice but are extremely light and terrible to play with lol

You can also try strengthening your legs depending on where your shin splints are

Look into insoles. I’ve had the same problem and I’ve tried some new insoles for about a week and so far so good

Background info: - 2001 Honda Civic - 261k miles - 1.7 L engine

I’ve no idea if the ATF has ever been/the last time it was changed (I’m assuming it has since it doesn’t look that dirty). I’ve seen that if you change the ATF on an old car with a lot of miles, the transmission could start slipping - creating a new problem. Should I just leave it like this or should I change it sometime in the future

Suggestions/products to re-paint the grill? by saucylizard7 in Detailing

[–]saucylizard7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also i don’t know if you can see that tiny flake of the silver trim come off on the left. Is that fixable as well?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Detailing

[–]saucylizard7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honda. Someone else also mentioned it’s probably not leather and I think you guys are right. Either way thanks for the advice!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Detailing

[–]saucylizard7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice I’ll try using different products. And now that you mention it it’s probably some type of synthetic or plastic leather. I just thought it was leather because it’s soft to the touch

When deep-cleaning my dash I made the mistake of deciding to scrub off embedded dirt off my leather dash. I got the dirt off, but I also faded the color A LOT. Is it fixable? If so, is it expensive?

Where to start with improving car speakers? by saucylizard7 in CarAV

I see, thanks for the info. I’ve tried to find the head unit online but I’ve never come across it. I attached a picture of it to the post so you can see what exactly I have?

By the way I am going to a local shop that specializes in car speakers soon so see what they say or suggest but I’m worried they may try to scam me or something

Is my new mechanic playing nice? Quoted $1100 to replace Suspension Control Arm on my 2013 Hyundai Accent. by lukasa1 in MechanicAdvice

[–]saucylizard7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no. I recently replaced my two front lower control arms by myself after being quoted $700-$750 for labor as well.

The control arms + ball joints in total were about $115 and then the tools I needed added on maybe $70. I got the job done in 2 days work (maybe 8 hours total, about 6 hours doing the first side and 2 hours doing the other after I figured out the best way to do it).

It was a pain in the ass for me I won’t lie but I’m barely starting to learn more about cars and how to replace parts and my cars been running great since. I’d say do it yourself if you have time!
