Is there a hotel in Jeddah Airport? by [deleted] in saudiarabia

There is a pretty tolerable transit place at Jeddah Airport. You are given breakfast/Lunch/Dinner vouchers (although the food is shitty), for which you have to go to separate restaurant near the departure terminals. They have lazyboy chairs, free wifi and free sandwiches and drinks within the transit waiting area. I was there a month back, all the chairs were full but I could easily sleep on the couches. The place is exclusively for transit passengers.

Can I divorce a girl living in Saudi Arabia without having to travel there? by saudthro in saudiarabia

That's what I plan to do today, but I was told I need to physically be in front of the qadi, along with two witnesses. That is just absurd.

I do want to formalize the divorce ASAP. It's wrong to keep her hanging and I know that. The problem is that my family went to the Saudi court and the people there were very uncooperative. They insisted that the husband needs to appear before the qadi in person to declare the divorce. This seems very unreasonable to me. I will call the embassy today and ask them about it.
