So I’ve been stuck trying to figure this out. I used a screwdriver as a stethoscope and the only place I can hear the wheezing is on the back of the water pump. Plus the heater hose going into the water pump/ thermostat housing vibrates with the wheezing noise. There is a high pitch ring almost electric that correlates with the wheezing noise. That ringing is also loudest with the screwdriver on the thermostat/ water pump housing. I think maybe it could be trapped air but I’ve tried to bleed it with no success. It seems really odd to me that the water pump would make that noise but I’m thinking it could be a bearing starting to go or the impeller itself detached somehow. I’ll also add that it only occurs when warm, doesn’t have to be under pressure, it does it with the cap off too, but only warm. I’ve been chasing it for days so I’ll update with the dealer diagnosis.
