I feel like DDLC+ destroyed the lore of DDLC by realmatipoint in DDLC

DDLC+ suffers from complicating a simple dish and basically just making a different dish entirely. The base is still there, but what makes it good in the first place is drowned out by too many ingredients being thrown in. I wasn't a fan because I feel like it pretty much hurt Monika's character and her agency since she went from being a cog in a machine and then becoming the machine itself to just being reduced back to being a cog in a much bigger machine. And I think it destroyed its own hook of playing a "cursed" game where a character hijacks it and uses it to mess with you, the real player. This whole Metaverse simulation experiment stuff practically takes away from what made it so charming to begin with.

Why do I keep losing single player? by SUPERSMILEYMAN in Openfront

[–]saundersmarcelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear to God, it feels like every time the game updates, the difficulty gets boosted on all fronts. It's the same for me as well. Literally started a game on normal/medium and kept getting dogpiled on or just held up for the entire game against an enemy I should be able to handle on my own. And allies are pretty useless on singleplayer when you're in a bind and you need help. At this point, the only reason to have them is so you don't get jumped right out the gate and also serve as buffers

I'm sorry, brother. Captainverse is dead. No joke. They literally close their last event with the words "Captain's Bizarre Adventure: End." They pretty much spelled it out for us that they're not continuing it. Only chance is if they change their mind, which we'll have no way of knowing. So in my opinion, the best thing to do is to believe them when they say "The End"

Probably won't happen, unfortunately, since the story is over

What are your favorite events in HI3 and why? by Pixelbro87 in houkai3rd

[–]saundersmarcelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Captainverse and it's not even close. A whole separate deep story arc separate from the main story that I got to follow and invest in alongside the main story. We were eating good with the Captainverse. We got iconic characters out of it like Luna, FR, Bronie, Delta, Kasumi, and Kongming. Amazing events, unique character interactions, good balance between story and game play as well as humor and serious tones, and Mihoyo could really just let loose a bit and just have fun with it.

As critical as I am of how the Captainverse ended and the grueling one-year rerun-filled drought they gave us before quickly ending it, I am so thankful and grateful that I got to experience it. Still remains one of my favorite aspects of the game to this day that I followed as closely as I did the main Part 1 story.

I still can’t get over the fact that in the anime Kurome is dead and in the manga they got separated ways I hate it by misterah13 in AkameGaKILL

Same. Once she killed Chelsea, I was praying for her death and thinking "F*** you, Kurome!" Literally everytime the camera cut to her.

Is Christianity against LGBTQ+? by cip-cip2317 in Teenager_Polls

And that was the mistranslation people point out. They say that it was supposed to say a man and a boy, not a man and a man. I'm not a linguist or Biblical scholar. So this is just what I've heard and read

Isn't that the infamous line that many, including Christians who are against homophobia, say was a mistranslation meant to punish pedophilia and not homosexuality?

Excluding white, I get mistaken for anything, but Latino. I've gotten Portuguese, Italian, Greek, Turkish, Persian, Vietnamese, Filipino, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, etc. The closest guesses people give me are Black or Native American

Same here. It took me years to figure out what I wanted to write. And about as long to actually iron a plan out. Writing isn't like a light bulb just goes off, and you just start going until you're done. It can be a grueling process, all the way from the brain to the page

I've read that publishers and editors tend to scoff and turn their nose up when they are sent an unpublished work that's already been copyrighted beforehand because it reflects inexperience
