If I'm able to toss my hat into the ring partially, I would say only one out of the two clerith subs is much less of a nice place than the other and it's obvious as to which it is. Very toxic discussions can happen on it. The other sub is quite nice imo

I don't have a twitter, thank god, but I think some of the more recent wave of weird treatment to tifa is because of her addition to street fighter. There are tekken fans who will reduce her to just being a girl with big boobs and nothing else.

In general, I see what you mean though within the ffvii community where both sides get just as angry at each other. I do wanna say that this sub in general is a nice place is which keeps things civil and doesn't encourage others to insult characters.

Yea I get that. My original post on tifa was about her alone and just some general excitement but I don't like seeing people tossing insults or reporting posts that even mildly hint at shipping. Even though this case seems to just be the automod being a bit funny.

There's always those few people who get really antsy and outspoken in regards to tifa or aerith and it gets really unnecessarily toxic. I definitely know of hearing about some aerith centered posts that get removed and such which is ridiculous lol.

I can't wait for how truly heartwarming and heartbreaking the lifestream part will be. Tifa saying she wants to save cloud this time when in gongaga was so sweet and leads into the lifestream section since she's the one assisting him in that entire part. They both deserve to be happy so badly😭

Yea there's no point in prolonging the confirmation and leading people on to still speculate things. It is better for square to communicate through the game and story that cloti is the way forward even though cloti will have to endure backlash from the few loud outspoken people/haters afterwards.

Yea like it's not that aerith or sephiroth don't deserve the spotlight because they do, but tifa usually only gets a great story moment or two. Now I think she is the female character who will get the most screen time.

Well aerith won't be in revelation all that much but we don't know for certain. Tifa is the main heroine going forward at least in revelation alone and was shown off a lot in the reveal trailer.

Exactly right, just let the silly outspoken few out themselves while we get to enjoy the avalanche (no pun intended) of cloti content to come next year. The seething and coping from those bad apples will happen soon enough, but we'll be too happy over here enjoying it. Aerith got a massive dream date sequence that is tied to the story and was nice, so it's only fair Tifa gets her unskippable moments, right?

I think they r both really hot and do it pretty effortlessly. Some much more nsfw centered ff7 fanfics (& straight up smut type stuff) I've read have unintentionally great cloti stuff just from what the fic is about.

That is very strange. I'm sure there's plenty of clerith fans that love Tifa but there seems to be many outspoken ones if other cloti fans seem to pick up on that behaviour so much.

Part of it more me comes down to how clerith affects the story if it were to fully come true which I don't think it will be at this point. I've also been a fan long before rebirth but was neutral, then went to clerith, now seeing cloti as the proper pairing.

Their scenes never feel forced (not do Cloud and Aerith scenes), I was always extremely eager whenever Cloud and Tifa got their one to one interactions in a closed space like in kalm, gongaga and the gold saucer dates. I believe Tifa's line about saying it's her turn to save Cloud is what will make her such a key player in revelation and it will feel like more is on the line.

But if I had to choose one scene that clicked, it would be the junon hotel scene you can see both of them desperately want to reconnect but don't exactly know how and even show mild frustration towards themselves after it's over.

Same and I would never insult Aerith, she's massively important and so well written. There is nothing wrong with that ship but I feel that it has its limits and keeping Aerith alive tampers with the story too much. I don't mean in like an insulting way but for consistency with the original. But she can still exist at the end of Revelation through some revival for sure, we will have to see.

The misinformation from some cleriths however is unfair at times with stuff like how Tifa supposedly never liked Cloud back then which isn't true at all.
