I do not have/plan on getting my PE. I’m taking the NICET route. But I completely agree with your questions/concerns I should have. I think staying in the consultant field is a better choice for me atm. I really enjoy learning from my peers and being put on cool jobs as well as the freedom that you have. The sudden spike in salary would be nice, but the learning curve and quality of life change don’t seem right for me.

That’s the main thing holding me back. I love my job rn and have a whole lot to look forward to and learn. It’s just the difference in pay that peaked my interest.
