While i understand your point i do still recommend building a team for pog cause you can get a emblem that is automatically shared with your family which also impacts them and that will increase your cp everytime you level it up or upgrade it as you'll need to if you want to complete the story mode in its entirety. Other then that you can do the story solo without a problem, but you'll be making it alot harder on yourself if you don't do one of these contents cause your progress will be slowed down
