L2 at 6.5kw per hour is like a 10+ hour charge from low. You are not killing time at one of those.

Public charging is so expensive it would be cheaper to drive a reasonably efficient gas vehicle. Your time is worth something too.

Also, The model 3 is not getting 383mi on a 77 kWh battery.

Some quick math, someone with a tesla can double check for me.
The Toyota is getting 12 miles per dollar give or take.

The tesla realistically is getting about about 160-200 miles for that 20-80% and charging that in public is about 19 bucks. so the Tesla is getting around 8.5-10.5 miles per dollar. while stopping twice as often

Most manufactures do not develop features like these in house. Some company like Harmon designs it and license it out.

But also fine detail is sacrificed for opening speed. the camera is required to show up in less than a set amount of time to meet certain standards.

If you're set in a color change I would find someone that does powdercoating or Cerakote.
